What you do get from this hotel is a brilliant location to base your trip to London. It's located about 'half a cigarette walk' from Earl's Court tube station, from which you can get to just about anywhere quickly with a London Visitors' Travelcard. There is also a Boris Bike station just at the end of the street, if you're into that sort of thing,
As for the hotel itself, considering the price, you're not getting a luxury hotel room. This is probably the smallest hotel room I've ever had and between my partner and I, we had 2 small rucksacks and a small suitcase and the room is pretty much stuffed. The breakfast rooms are located in the basement and feel a bit cramped, especially when it's busy. The breakfast is the usual tea/coffee/corn flakes/toast, which is not unpleasant. And if you're a gready sod in the morning like me, you can have as much as you like!
The staff and the hotel are very friendly and welcoming. I think I heard one of them trying to tell an American guest at the hotel to be quiet at 3:00am so even though I was woken by the moronic and noisy guest, they got him to shut up!
The rooms, despite their size, are decent. Ours was clean and the towels were changed every day. The double bed (with two single matresses) was reasonably comfortable and the sheets were clean. Despite the size of the sink (it is tiny, but usable), the en suite is clean and functional. The TV seemed to be missing a lot of Freeview channels and most of the functions were locked out but if you're visiting London, you don't go to sit and watch TV!
In short, if you're just looking for a clean bed to lay your head with great access to the Underground and bus network, then this hotel is for you! If you want space and a bit of luxury, go to Travelodge, but expect to pay nearly double the price.
