“Does what it says on the tin!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

This hotel was ok, it was cheap and was very near a tube station.

The room was very small, however it was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a bit of a free for all downstairs, there were not spare cups/plates etc unless you managed to get a table at the start.

Staff seemed friendly and check in/out was quick and smooth. Wouldn't want to stay here for a long time, but for one night it was ok.

Room Tip: Rooms are small, but this is a cheap hotel in London!

“Great location, great price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

This hotels ticks all the boxes for me and is my "go-to" hotel whenever I stay in London. The hotel is located about two minutes walk from Earl's Court Tube, located in Zone 1, putting you close to all of the central London attractions. There's an excellent range of places to eat and drink on a budget around the hotel for those on a budget, giving a wide selection to suit all tastes. Every room I've stayed in has been of a great size and has always been clean. The beds are always comfortable and I've never been disrupted by any noise at nights. I'd recommend this hotel for those after a quality, safe hotel in central London without paying through the nose for it.

“It certainly is not Buckingham Palace, but...”

What you do get from this hotel is a brilliant location to base your trip to London. It's located about 'half a cigarette walk' from Earl's Court tube station, from which you can get to just about anywhere quickly with a London Visitors' Travelcard. There is also a Boris Bike station just at the end of the street, if you're into that sort of thing,
As for the hotel itself, considering the price, you're not getting a luxury hotel room. This is probably the smallest hotel room I've ever had and between my partner and I, we had 2 small rucksacks and a small suitcase and the room is pretty much stuffed. The breakfast rooms are located in the basement and feel a bit cramped, especially when it's busy. The breakfast is the usual tea/coffee/corn flakes/toast, which is not unpleasant. And if you're a gready sod in the morning like me, you can have as much as you like!
The staff and the hotel are very friendly and welcoming. I think I heard one of them trying to tell an American guest at the hotel to be quiet at 3:00am so even though I was woken by the moronic and noisy guest, they got him to shut up!
The rooms, despite their size, are decent. Ours was clean and the towels were changed every day. The double bed (with two single matresses) was reasonably comfortable and the sheets were clean. Despite the size of the sink (it is tiny, but usable), the en suite is clean and functional. The TV seemed to be missing a lot of Freeview channels and most of the functions were locked out but if you're visiting London, you don't go to sit and watch TV!
In short, if you're just looking for a clean bed to lay your head with great access to the Underground and bus network, then this hotel is for you! If you want space and a bit of luxury, go to Travelodge, but expect to pay nearly double the price.

“Very average. Can do much better elsewhere for less!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 December 2011

We stayed here in Dec '11 for 2 nights. We'd previously stayed at a similar priced hotel in Kensington, but were disappointed with this hotel's effort. The room we had (Ground floor, triple) was ridiculously small! There were three single beds, crammed into a very long, thin room. The bathroom was average, nothing to write home about. There was, however, less than appealing hairs all over the shower! Gross. Breakfast is a no-go. You can choose from boiled eggs or toast. That's really it. The walls are PAPER thin. We could here constant banging all morning with doors being slammed. It's in a good location, about a 2 minute walk form Earls Court tube station. Overall, you can do much better at other hotels!

The rooms were clean as were the areas of the hotel we saw. We had a quad room and as a base for travelling around London it's ideal in terms of location and reasonable on price. Breakfast was a nightmare, not enough seats for a place that size so we ended up taking some more milk to our room and having a drink there before going tithe blackbird for a full English!
