“Worst than expected”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 July 2010

After reading Tripadvisor advices, I expected something bad.
After beeing there I can confirm that the only positive aspects are the central location and the low prices.

The building is narrow (Hotel?) and really decadent. Most of the furniture is decrepit. Torn curtains, broken tils, hydraulic parts rusty ...

No possbility to have breakfast.

I wouldn't recommend this Hotel unless for a very short stay.

“Very good value for the price, great location, fully functional budget hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 June 2010

We spend 4 nights here and we were pleasantly surprised. Its a great location to discover London. Only a short walk to the Tube station or several bus stops. Quiet at night (!) but close to a lively shopping street with plenty of good and affordable places to eat. Our double room had its own en suite facilities. Also the kettle with tea and coffee were a nice touch.

True, the building looks a bit neglected and the furniture is a little old but the room was ample sized, clean and fully functional.

Excellent value for money indeed. If you don't plan to stay lots of time in the hotel, than this perfectly adequate and the price is hard to beat.

“Good location - very poor building condition, service and cleanliness”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 May 2010

Pubic hair in the toilet and bathroom, hair on the bed covers, dilapidated state and noisy - this hotel is NOT what it seems from the website and pictures. The location is great - given that the value for money (£69 for a double) seemed too good to be true. Well, it was. Shockingly, there was no manager on duty overnight until lunch time the next day - leaving the running of the hotel and safety of its inhabitants, in the hands of one polite but overburdened young receptionist.

Don't let the website fool you - you'd be much better off in a really good hostel. Wish I'd checked tripadvisor before booking!

“Not the impression I had !”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 March 2010

Booked this hotel without checking trip advisor! Partly due to its decent looking web page and links with other hotels (that looked ok)....bad decision as when we got there we were shocked!

Firstly there is no such thing as reception other than someone answering the door and taking you to some messy dull office. Secondly when it’s a little late at night and your told breakfast is served at 8:30 be sure to ask what breakfast that is exactly, it seems at some point the bar downstairs eatery acted as breakfast area since that shut down a small table at the end of a corridor acts as serving areas for.....erm.....cheese slices rusks and yogs! Well that’s what I think they were! Needless to say you’re going to go to the place down the road for food I’m sure of that much!

Anyway, the room we stayed in was run down, needed a vacuum! And a good clean up. Decore was poor in the terms of 'it looked like a bad DIY job' and the shower bathroom was in keeping by being mouldy and run down.

TV was out of tune and curtains were ripped, door handles were loose, or well worn! Either way even for the most basic night of sleep it was poor and I think that being conservative.

On saying this if you’re looking for nothing more than A BED!, then I’d have to say that the linen seemed clean, the general surface cleanliness in the bathroom seemed ok and its linked with Fulham Broadway tube.

As a note, the building seems to be having something done to it or is in the process of being shutdown??? Boards are all around this place other than a few commercial units, I have no idea why but let me tell you the photos are out of date!

“Awful hotel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2010

I could hardly believe it was a hotel when I arrived - it was part of a derelict block and the ground floor bar was disused. The entrance staircase stank of damp and mould and the untidy girl who opened the door led me to a junk filled 'reception' room, little more than a filthy cupboard, to check in. The carpets were threadbare and stained and the corridor looked as if it had been painted by a chimpanzee. My room smelt of drains, the toilet seat was loose and there was mould in the bathroom. Much worse, and dangerous, was the bedside light with its bare wires. The window had been wedged open, and when I asked about it, the reply was 'oh, we needed to get some air in there'. (I was not surprised - the place stank). I was worried for my safety as there was a fire escape directly outside, but she told me they had 'never had any trouble'. Er - this is London - I do not exactly feel safe in such a dump as this with a window I cannot shut.

Breakfast was served, late, in the derelict pub, by a rude young girl who could not be bothered to hurry a yard. There was no heating, the place was covered in dust and I did not want to touch anything, so I walked out. Later, I went to get my luggage to move to another hotel and by 4.30pm, the room still had not been cleaned.

A filthy rat-hole of a place with poor service. I don't care how cheap it is - if it isn't safe or clean then it is worth nothing. Don't stay there. Ever.
