I stayed with my son here for two nights in early January.Staff were helpful enough, some more than others, but no one was unfriendly.Room was adequate,not luxurious by any means but fine,clean,small but comfortable.It's nearer Pimlico tube statiion which is about an 8 minute walk,only discovered this after long walk from Victoria station.I wouldn't go back as it'd be easier to sightsee if staying near a tube station which facilitates circuit or district line, Pimlico just facilitates the Victoria line.That being said, it's cheap and adequate if you're sightseeing and only need a bed to rest. Tip: don't leave it until the last minute to go for breakfast as it gets packed.Handy for walking to the Apollo if going to 'Wicked'. Bring walking shoes, I didn't and it was a mistake.

Got there 9pm. Given rm101 in basement. Next to the en-suite was an outside door which had been forced open and not repaired properly. Even the lock had only 2 out of 4 screws. Anyone could have got in with a screwdriver and a big push. SEE THE PHOTO.
Complained to an uninterested night receptionist who denied it until I showed him the photo. He changed my room to 108, also in the basement.
In room 108 the curtains were far too short for the window so there was a foot of window that anyone could see in. SEE THE PHOTO. Not safe for a single woman but I had no choice. No other room, too tired to change hotel. Had a poor night's sleep. Worse as the room stank of damp and overused cheap air freshener.

Complained again in the morning and much better receptionist. Put in 3rd floor room which was fine.

Breakfast fine - buffet style.

great location, ok rooms and great pub nearby. Staff is not very professional but this isn't a classy hotel so...

Notice alot of complaints are from Americans who want big for everything! This hotel is absolutely fine. Clean, tidy, no fuss. You get what you pay for. Breakfast is help yourself basic but fine. Room although not big was fine for a two night stay. Tea and coffee in room and all other important things needed. Ideal for budget breaks!
