“Hideous hotel, ignorant staff, v low standard !!”

Stayed here on last min booking as my daughter had auditions, hotel looks ok from outside, then you get inside, woman on reception wouldn't harm her to crack a smile or speak English besides you pay now n leave ur keys... We stayed in 2 rooms 206 & 410, 206 room we searched for for 15 mins only to realise we had no dr number, 410 had half missing. Gets into room n slamming the dr as it wouldn't shut the windows didn't shut, tiles cracked big hole in sink where there should ave been a plug, mouldy shower curtain and black stained tiles in bath, ( needless to say we stayed clear ).. We left hotel for as long as we could at night n was up n out for 7 next morning didn't even dare touch breakfast. Went to go for drink in the bar which is not there, the hotel safe was in lobby on couple of 2x4s at side of couch, there was holes in the walls paint dried on carpets just not nice at all! Just glad I didn't have to sleep in a kitchen.. Only gd thing going for this hotel is its location.... Rotten place stay away very rude staff that hardly speak or understand English.. The night man left us in reception with till keys the lot all there while he ran after his boyfriend down street b4 he would give us our keys....

“ABSOLUTE CRAP - AVOID AT ALL COSTS”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

This hotel is a load of crap and I would avoid it at all costs. The previous review could not have possibly be done on this hotel as it contradicts every other review and seems exaggerated. . The room for a family of 4 was filthy, smelly, cramped with 3 beds pushed together. The shower glass recess was broken away from the hinges with pieces missing. We complained, and were given another room, which was just as bad. The bathroom sink did not even drain, the room was abundant with holes within the walls, the lights did not work, the door did not lock securely and there were damp patches on the ceiling. The entire hotel is a fire hazard, the hallways had rubbish everywhere, we had to drag our luggage around, no one certainly assisted my family with luggage in fact I was just stared at when struggling to enter the narrow entrance. The hotel was not secure and we were very concerned for our personal belongings. My family and I were so distressed by the condition of this place we checked out within 2 hours forgoing the 5 nights we had already prepaid. We were offered a "flat" as we checked out which we declined and checked in elsewhere which cost us an additional $AUD2000.
The professional photos on the Internet are fake, a backpacker’s hostel would have been better.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS - THERE IS NOTHING GOOD ABOUT THIS HOTEL- DO NOT BELIEVE THE EXAGGEATED REVIEWS EITHER.

Room Tip: No room is good - avoid at all costs

“Splendid hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 November 2011

As we walked into the glorious hallway, the staff ran onto us for helping with our baggage and carrying it to the room. Our room was big, fresh and newly washed and had a great view. The smell of soap was present and I think the floor carpet had recently been washed thoroughly. It was a great experience showering in the bathroom and all the bed clothes and curtains was of the newest fashion. The Tv worked well and the hotel provided us with some great coffee and a water boiler so we could enjoy our freshly made coffee in our tremendously splendid room We were too hungover to check out the breakfast though but according to rumours it was close to heaven. What can I say? I simply recommend this top-notch hotel to everyone who enjoys a litle bit of comfort.

Board from Oslo.

“I have been to hell”

When i walked into this place it was so very different from what i had seen on the internet. It was filthy dirty, the air was thick with the smell of damp, the carpets were threadbare and it felt like i was walking through treacle as a walked over them.
The walls were covered in damp patches. My bedroom was for three,it was a tiny room that was damp, smelt musky, the bed sheets had what i can only hope was melted chocolate on them,i suspect it may have been somthing very worse.
On the whole a terrible horrible place, this is no place for a ferret to rest its head,i thought i had died and gone to hell, still having nightmares and needing psychiatric intervention.

“Probably THE WORST Hotel I have ever stayed in!”

We had a quick stopover in Paddington and hsould have checked better, we had stayed in the area a few times at other hotels and we figured they would all be about the same. WRONG! Simply DO NOT STAY HERE, there are better ones just down Craven Rd for around the same price. As for breakfast, dont eat it go unless you want to be sick. Just have a look at the readers photos......

Room Tip: Go somewhere else!
