I stay in quite a few London hotels throughout the year, mostly for pleasure, sometimes for business. I chose this hotel due to the good Trip advisor reviews and we were not disappointed. A short walk from St. James Park tube station, what a lovely surprise when you turn the corner and get your first view of the hotel, pretty flower beds and trees all beautifully kept. On entering the hotel, we were greeted warmly by every member of staff we saw. We arrived early in the morning so that we could leave our bags, but we were offered an upgraded room at a small cost which was available there and then. The room, a deluxe King size, overlooked the front of the hotel, had everything we needed, including fresh coffee which was a nice touch. As mentioned in previous reviews, a few biscuits would be nice. Everywhere was clean and tidy, we had a slight problem with the room which was swiftly rectified.
We had dinner in the Caxton Grill, it was superb, and service extremely attentive. We also had the full breakfast which was one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had in London, including a great selection of lovely fresh breads, meats, cheeses, fruit, smoked salmon and preserves.
We found the hotel was in a great location for visiting various areas of London, close to Westminster, Victoria and a few tube stops to the city centre, the shops, sights and theatres etc. We walked to Waterloo from the hotel in about 25 minutes at a leisurely pace.
The best experience of this hotel is one of being valued as a person, not just a room number, we were spoken to by name throughout and nothing was too much trouble. We will be back!

Dear Madam,
Thank you for taking the time to write such a descriptive and positive review. I am happy to read that you had used Trip Advisor to help make your choice of where to stay; so many of our guests have been kind enough to write about our service and hospitality. St.Ermin’’s is one of the few hotels in London with its own large courtyard and we are glad that you were impressed by the grandness of the building and the location. Our restaurant, the Caxton Grill, has been very popular with both guests and non-residents and I am glad that you rate our breakfasts as ‘one of the best you have had in London’, I shall pass your compliments on to chef!
We truly hope that you will visit us again soon,
Best regards
