We stayed here for two nights last week to end a week of travelling around the country - we paid £10 to check in early and were quickly directed to our room. We were told our room was on the second floor, so we walked all over the second floor to find out that our room was actually below the second floor - we had to walk to the end of the corridor and then down a twisty flight of stairs which wasn't the easiest of things when we all had big suitcases. The room itself was ok - the view from the windows were the concrete walls outside, the bathroom was tiny and the room was freezing.
The best thing was on our first morning in the room while we were all relaxing in bed, discussing the plans for the day, a woman walked into our room having opened the door with her key card (it wasn't house keeping as she had only been and this was a different person). She thought that this was her room! When we went to reception to complain, they couldn't give us an answer as to why this had happened so we were very cautious of leaving much in the hotel room which kind of ruined the stay for us.
The noise levels weren't as big as I was expecting - when we came back from our first night out, the hotel was buzzing with people and noise but once we got to our room, we couldn't hear anything (but then again, we were at the back of the hotel so that could explain it).
The lifts were very temperamental and only worked every so often which again was a bit annoying but only being two levels up and then one down, it wasn't too bad.
The girl who checked us in was nice enough, not very chatty but not rude or anything. The man we spoke to later in the day to get a hair dryer was slightly on the rude side, he seemed to grunt when asked anything.
I'm in two minds whether I would stay here again, I would if the price was ridiculously cheap but if I had to pay the same amount again, I wouldn't bother.
