The location of this "hotel" is superb close to the tube, bars, shopping and restraunts and the staff were friendly, however the accommodation is very basic and in need of complete renovation there is also very little workspace in the room and no lift so no good if you have lots of luggage or mobility issues. Would recommend for shopping and socialising but not for business!

Considering the location it is very good value for money. The tube is on your doorstep and Camden Town is few minutes walk away. No lift in the hotel and so had to use the stairs and the hallways could do with a renovation. Friendly staff and towels cleaned daily. Clean room and no complaints with the bed. Breakfast is served at the cafe next door but dont expect anything fancy with the 'breakfast included' option. I paid additional each time for a better breakfast and did feel it wasnt worth the price. I would consider staying again if my budget was stretched.

Great area - close to both Camden and Hampstead and all the choice of bars, restaurants and shopping. But seriously cheap for London. Very basic accommodation but suprisingly queit and a damn good English breakfast - proper honest stuff

The Canden Lock hotel is just across the road from Chalk Farm tube station. Even though it is on a main road the noise in the rooms is minimal. The breakfast is served in a small public cafe downstairs, for £3 you can upgrade to a full English breakfast, very tasty. All the staff I met were very helpful and polite. I would happily stay here again.

However, the cleaning could be a little better. The shower head and taps looked like they could do with a good scrub to get the limescale off and a bit of bleach in the toilet would have helped. Overall though it wasn't too bad, nothing that would put me off staying again.
