We've been staying at the Marriott Park Lane for about 6+ years. It's expensive, however getting a night with Marriott points and finding the weekend rate helps.
The hotel is located at Park Lane and Oxford Street, definitely expensive real estate. It's favored by Middle Eastern money and other notables, the type who bring their Rolls Royce with them. You get the feeling CEOs like it too. Very warm and welcoming. Once you check in, they know you, greeting you by name as you cross the lobby. Feeling of very thorough, very discrete security too.
Two types of rooms - large and larger. We've never had a small one. Incredibly soft beds. Excellent Concierge Lounge on the ground floor. We're fans of the 140 Park Lane restaurant, reasonably priced for this part of town. Wine is well priced, mixed drinks are expensive.
I've not encountered this level of personalized service anywhere - they must hire staff with incredible memories!.
