I booked this hotel purely as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend as he is a life long West Ham supporter and had never thought to stay in the hotel himself previously. We will definately be returning regardless of the novelty factor for him. Every member of staff we encountered during our stay could not have been more helpful and being only 10 mins walk to the nearest tube station and about 20mins to the city centre by tube just adds to its benefits. Every room overlooks the pitch which is fascinating even if you do not like football - what would you see from another London hotel room unless you pay premium prices? a wall or bins? and as surrounding the bedrooms you either have conference centres or the pitch imagine just how quiet it is!Being situated in the East End there are many take away restaurants but no many t o dine in within walking distance. As I said earlier it is easy to access the city but we opted to eat in at the West Ham bar/restaurant. We were definately not disappointed the menu was varied to cater all tastes and everything we had was really well priced, cooked freshly and really tasty.Breakfast was served in the champagne bar on the same floor as the bedrooms and was on a buffet basis with tea, coffee and toast being the only items served by the waitress. Breakfast again was superb, plentiful and really tasty. We will def be back!!!
