The reviews on this place seem to veer from one to another so let's try to put some balance onto it:
This is a Travelodge in a garage forecourt with a subway line behind it and a dual carriageway in front. Yes there will be some noise.
As for the place itself, well it's as you'd expect from a Travelodge - broken elevator, dodgy TV, wonky light switch, marks on walls but then it is near central London and cost me £15.
Regards travel to and from - this is on the Eastbound A40 carriageway which gets very slow in the rush hour. There is quite some diversion to get onto the other carriageway. There is a bus stop right outside for the 95 service to Shepherd's Bush. Five minutes walk away is Park Royal station which is on The Piccadilly Line and just a little bit further is The Central Line. I don't consider transport into London a huge issue. The car park costs £5 per day which you can pay online with Ringgo.
Would I stay here again? At £15, yes. Would I stay here for a romantic treat? Nope
