“worst hotel i have ever stayed in”

Booked Hotel as friends live close by , looked nice from outside looked nice in lobby but get in your room well what can I say It was to start with a cupboard . You did not have anywhere to stand ,the carpet was filthy,as was the lower half of the walls, wardrobe was a joke just big enough to store toilet rolls that was once you worked out to get in it , furniture was non existant.on a good note lots of tea coffee etc but no kettle to use did ask for one but never appeared ..Bed did not look great but was surprisingly comfortable although was cold during night as only had a sheet and very thin blanket. Bathroom don't know how we got in it so tiny shower but was really grubby everything needed a good clean I can except a hotel being a bit run down as was only £60 but there is run down and there is Run Down

Room Tip: don't stop here cary on looking wish I had read reviews first

“don't be fooled by name and location”

this by far the worst hotel if its called so, i ever stayed in. No reception desk rather a den cramped with stuff and a bearded wahabi with flat affect face looking at you, gives you the keys and find your way, dirty every where, small curtain (zero privacy) that is used to wipe some body secretions, you can see the white smudge, floor, either floating tiles or dirt stains on the carpet, bathroom tiny and dirty, one in the basement room smelled like sewage and had hair in the shower fron another person, they only clean once every 3 days also clean towels every three days , breakfast, they hand you plate with 2 toasts and pour milk on your cereals that they decide how much you take. If you have any element of allergy be careful as my daughter had ashma attack in this hotel. I sacrificed $300 to run away after ist night as we arrived late and had no choice after were shocked by the picture, You can get much better deal for the same price, don't be fooled that this is the last room and every where is full. there is always place if you look around.

“There was a slug on the wall in the shared toilet! Didn't remove!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 October 2011

Everything about this "hotel" is terrible, don't ever go there! I'd much rather stay at the youth hostel than at the Continental.

The guys at the front desk are unfriendly. The window in our room wouldn't close because obviously it had been painted without the necessary care, so the dried paint held the window open. We asked whether there was another room, and they showed us a room that was black with mold. No kidding! There were large patches of mold all over the wall.

The worst of it all was that there was a slug on the wall in one of the shared toilets. And it wasn't even raining outside, but it was a very warm and sunny day, so the slug must have been there a while! ... It was still there the next day. I checked. Although I never used that toilet again, and never will, because there is no way that I will be returning to the Continental, ever. Don't go there. The Youth Hostel at Earls Court is clean and reasonable.

Room Tip: Don't go there!

“Avoid this place, absolutely awful, a rat hole!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 July 2011

I had booked and planned to stay at this hotel the weekend of 23-26 June, I however checked out the day after already. I was given a room, normal singel en suite, which was located in the basement, not a problem if it weren't for how dirty it was. Stains on the sheets, dirt on the walls, hair in the shower, + the room was so small I almost didn't fit. When I mentioned this to the staff I was met with rudeness and no possibility to clean the place, I felt insulted. I left the day after, no refund given though, since their policy is to give nothing back unless you pay day by day, I paid in advance. I left after a brekafast consisting of plain white toast bread and tea, nothing else was there to eat (except for some old cerelas, but the staff followed me to the breakfast room and told me I couldn't not have that!!). How a hotel at this location can be so utterly and awfully bad with the worst staff I've ever encountered with no customer service at all is beyond me.

“Cheap for location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 May 2011

This is not a high standard hotel by any means but for cheapness and location great. Pillows like cardboard promised others but they never appeared. Room just fitted a double bed. We had ordered twin bedded room. They apologised but couldnt change room as they where full up. Dont go if you have large suitcases. Nowhere to put them. This place is suitable for quick stayover. Dont expect top standard by any means.
