While this was a budget hotel they were charging us over 150 pounds per night over the new year. The rooms was of low quality and I actually feel grateful that we did no go away with bed bugs from this place.

The room was run down with basic furniture and nasty pillows.

Staying here was like over paying for a bad hostel.

While every place we stayed was budget, this was the worst because of the service, quality of room, and price. This hotel is one of probably a dozen or more all connected along Gloucester Street. The location is OK. When we arrived, the clerk claimed they never received our reservation and rate guarantee (he waved a stack of faxes as thick as a phone book at me claiming their file system was flawless and they had not received my reservation). He then tried to charge us twice what I had been guaranteed for a two night stay. Fortunately I had an electronic copy in my laptop, and after demanding to speak to the owner, an hour later the owner agreed to honor the guaranteed rate. Had it been earlier, I would have sought other lodging. Small rooms, no lift (all rooms upstairs and very small stairwell), poor breakfast, and a dingy run down appearance. You might as well spend a little more, because you may not get the rate you expect, and the accommodations are disappointing. (As a note, Coolstuff10 must be the owner - no one else could have been that satisfied with, or that defensive of, this hotel).

Rooms are very basic and seem to be furnished with substandard second hand furniture. The service is so so and cleanliness as good as it can be for a hotel that desperately needs a renovation and redecorating. Shower recesses very small. Location excellent in friendly pimlico.

This hotel was grossly overpriced and the conditions were abysmal. The place looks like it hasn't been redecorated since the 1960s, and this ambiance is accompanied by an omnipresent musty smell that wafts throughout every floor of the hotel. The bathroom was dirty and I was afraid to turn down the sheets of my bed in fear of what I would find. I had to sit on the stairs outside the lobby to receive the free wifi advertised. It was not an enjoyable experience.
