This hotel is not cheap, i paid £100 for one night and that was after pushing for a discount due to the rates available on the website not being what they quoted me. The location is great and staff were fairly helpful but thats as positive as i'm going to be.
I kept my clothes packed as there was no way i would have put them in the warderobe or drawers. They looked grubby and stained. I also wasn't confident about the floor being clean so kept my shoes on. When i pulled the bedpsread back there was just a scruffy, old pink blanket and a sheet. I had to turn the heating up high to keep warm at night and didn't like the blanket touching me as it felt awful. The bed was almost completely solid, made my joints hurt. The bathroom was clean but the shower tiny, i am by no means large but struggled to get washed without jabbing elbows into walls or catching feet on the edge of the shower.
Breakfast was disappointing, just toast and cereal. By the melon rinds left on the breakfast bar i presume there was some fruit before we got downstairs, clearly 8.30 is too late to get hold of anything other than stale white bread despite the breakfast service only being open for half an hour.
Just disappointing really. The decor is bizarre and shabby but not in a charming way. Watch out for the prices they quote.
Room Tip: Just pay a little bit more and go to a quality hotel which you know you will enjoy.
