So many lies in this place. First, the locations or the rooms are all spread out. Its really hard to find the place. Our room was about 2 blocks away from the common area which had internet, food, the staff etc. There was supposed to be internet in the rooms but there wasn't. The part that we were staying in was supposed to be all girls and it wasn't. The pictures look nothing like the actual place. It was cold in London, was sweating hot in the room. We could barely sleep it was so hot. We were supposed to be there 5 days, we could barely last 2.

I stayed here for a week. I liked that it's next door (basically) to London Bridge tube station. I liked that the rooms were fairly large. Cleanliness was okay as well, but could have been better with the showers. However, breakfast, wireless access, and reception are a 5 -7 minute walk down the street at the main hostel building, which was annoying. Neither hostel building had a kitchen, the main one had one microwave and that was it. The "chill out area" was far too small for the size of hostel this is. Laundry facilities were good. Also, the Orient Expresso doesn't have a sign so it is very hard to find-- the sign actually says "oasis" and that is what the staff refer to the orient espresso as. The street outside is under construction and very very loud very early in the morning. The windows in the rooms open only a tiny bit and I actually asked to move to a different room after the first night (which they let me do) because on the top floor, the rooms are literally sweltering. And I was there when it wasn't even hot out, imagine when it is! I did meet some great people though, but you can do that at any hostel so I would say find a better one.

Puke in one of the toilets stayed there for 3 days before being cleaned up. I felt very unsafe walking from the orient to the village (where reception, and breakfast was). Only a microwave and jug at the village, not at the orient. Very badly managed, and staff were below average. One receptionist complained often about an austrian staff member who rarely turned up for work. receptionists in general seemed stressed and didnt seem to enjoy their job. Cleaning staff were below average, and one african female cleaner was incredibly rude to me at the hostel between the village and the orient (the inn?). Blonde australian female cleaner at the orient really didn't give a damn about her job and no one checked her work, hence the puke situation.
Just an awful experience all around.

we stayed in the women's only section of the hostel. incredible! cute, clean, cheap, safe, and a great location! would def go back!!!
