We needed a lot of rooms at a decent price and this met our needs! 2min walk from Earls Court u/ground. My room was spacious, clean and comfy, I would stay there again!

I booked room for two nights the 13 October 2011 After check-in and settled the bill I went to the room nr 6 What I found there, was bunch of hair inside shower cabin and several dried liquid stains over a duvet cover I went immediately to receptionist ,who tried to persuade that I could have shower there ,what was ridiculous since I've spent maximum 5 minutes at that room Later in the night turned out that I couldn't have shower even though I badly needed it, because the tap was broken The second night I decided not to spend there ! I have had very unpleasant experience for £160

Ended up staying at this Hotel after Expedia changed my booking whilst flying to London, a very nice clean hotel with a helpful receptionist.

Hotel was in a great location, only minutes to Underground and local shops in Earls Court, suprisingly quiet location. Would recommend this hotel.

1. At check-in, the Receptionist asked for an additional payment, in cash, to cover the "cleaners' wages". I refused politely. He also tried to charge me an additional £5 on top of the rate agreed at the time of booking, i.e., £89 instead of £84.
2. No hot water available until early morning; unable to shower before our evening our out (which was the main purpose of our trip to London).
3. Our room, Room 17, had a very strong smell of fresh paint, possibly from an adjoining room. This made us both feel unwell. I complained, but was told that the hotel was fully booked and that there were no other rooms available. We had to sleep with the sash window wide open all night, close to an Underground line!
4. There was no alternative means of escape in the event of a fire, i.e., there was only the central staircase. If this had become impassable, we would have been trapped at the rear of the building with no rear access available to the fire brigade.
5. It wasn't clear our until arrival that the included breakfast was "continental". This was very limited in variety, complete with stale croissants! However, the breakfast staff were pleasant.
6. There was a general lack of cleanliness in the room.
7. Thankfully, the bed was very comfortable!
