“Great little find in Central London”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

I'm so glad I've found this place. I've booked small 'value for money' central London hotels several times after a night out...and there have been some experiences! But I'm relieved that I can stop 'gambling' with my money now! I stayed in a double room at the Harlingford for one night. The rooms are very clean, quite large, there is a nice lounge as well, and it's very close to Kings Cross station. And as a bonus, it's a beautiful old terrace building on one of the famous London Crescents looking over a 'square'. (That means a Park, if you're not from the UK...with trees and squirrels etc!) I'm definitely staying there again.

Room Tip: It's a restored historic building so there is no lift. But you can request a room on a lower flo...

“zizi”

The hotel is close to British museum, close to Russel Square and Kings Kross metro.
In the quarter there are a lot of pubs, restaurants and shops.
I had a single room, my parents a double room, both at the top floor. We didn't mind about lots of narrow steps but windows are pretty small. Rooms are clean and confortable.
I found the staff not friendly.
Breakfast is very good with a lot of choice, including fresh fruit.
Zizi is the nice black cat living in the hotel!

“Delightful, with a fireplace in the lounge”

I lived in London for a bit, and love to stay at the Harlingford when I visit. The rooms are not large by U.S. standards at all, but they are well done. The bathrooms are lovely (but again, not large). There is a cozy lounge downstairs with a fireplace. And the prices are quite reasonable.

Warning: no elevator.

“Newly refurbished, Tries hard”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 December 2011

Newly refurbished Harlingford hotel looks almost like a boutique hotel except for a few minor kinks (see photos). It's certainly different from the usual old-fashioned, dusty B & Bs decked out in checked bedsheets and faded curtains. Our triple room was not too small and was situated on the ground floor (thank goodness!). As with all B & Bs, it has no lifts (Big consideration for those who can't lug heavy suitcases up narrow staircases.) Harlingford puts in extra effort in its breakfast (included in tariffs) by offering a nice surprise of smoked salmon & scrambled eggs as one of its options for visitors. And this is in addition to the usual spread of cereal, fruit, juices, jam & toast. It has one of the best breakfasts I've had at a B & B. Great location too- within walking distance of the Russell Square Tube station.

“Excellent place to crash for a night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 December 2011 via mobile

We spent 1 night here following a concert and found this hotel to offer excellent value - welcoming interior, clean modern rooms and within close walking distance of Euston - we were pleasantly surprised by this rather sweet wee hotel. The only downside for us was the bed which looks a bit like it was homemade out of mdf and has a very hard mattress that wasn't that comfortable. As we didn't get back into the hotel until after 1am and left at 5.30am noise wasn't really an issue, but the walls might not be the best sound proofed as we could definitely hear our neighbour snoring! Bathroom was a good size, modern and recently fitted and with a good shower (though I'd advise taking your own toiletries). Despite our very early start the hotel kindly sorted us a continental breakfast to take away. Within this price range (<£100) we couldn't find anywhere else in this area which would come close to the quality of this hotel. Highly recommended if you are looking for somewhere to crash for a night.
