“Great location and nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

We stayed here for one night as we were going to the theatre in Picadilly Circus, I would recommend this hotel to anyone as long as you can get the right price for a room - I managed to get a room for £55 with avios miles however i do not think i would have paid the full asking price for a room.

One thing we did find was the pillows were quite large and hard and because of this the wife did not sleep very well at all.

The room was pleasant enough, a nice sized double bed, controls for temperature, WIFI available and a mixture of connections for the TV etc. Bathroom again was a decent size and the shower was great.

Location was perfect really as its just a few minute walk to the tube station for the Picadilly line which was great.

Only thing that made it a 4 not 5 was the fact that someone was knocking on our door at 815am (no idea why) and did not think any more of it.

I am unable to comment on the food/drink as we did not purchase any from here, there are plenty of places locally to go out and eat at a fraction of the cost.

“Great hotel!”

We stayed at the Regency Hotel for one night as it was fairly close to the Albert Hall, and what a lovely hotel to stay in! The staff were very friendly, the rooms felt as if we were the first guests to stay there as everything was brand new and we were greeted by an open fire in the reception-perfect on a winters day! Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: We stayed in a club double-number 136, which was very comfortable and very quiet at the back of the...

“Good quality and fine location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

The Regency is a good hotel for a short stay in London. It is located quite near South Kensington Station and handy to the Museums, Albert Hall and Hyde Park. While claiming that there is Wifi connection throughout the hotel many rooms do not have this. They do offer a Wifi service for a number of days, based on hours used and not a 24 hour cycle. Service and staff were excellent and welcoming.

“Small but comfortable rooms in great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

The two great features about this hotel are it's location and the comfortable rooms.
Firstly the location is fantastic, less than a 10 min walk from South Kensington station and close by to numerous great restaurants. Also within a 10 min walk are the Victoria and Albert Museum, Science Museum, Natural History Museum and the Royal Albert Hall. We stayed here after a night out at the Royal Albert Hall and it was a nice stroll back to the hotel afterwards.
The hotel itself was very nice, the front of the hotel is nicely done and the staff on reception were pleasant and friendly.
The room was small, no sitting space, just a bed and bathroom, but this was fine as we were only there for one night. I can imagine if you were there for longer it wouldn't be suitable.
The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower in the bathroom was powerful and a good size. No banging elbows on the glass when trying to wash.

For the price and what we needed it for was ideal.

Room Tip: Try to choose one of the recently refurbished rooms.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

Stayed with a group of friends in 6 rooms in october 2011. Was accomendated in the new wing in a nice and modern clubroom. Breakfast okay, but almost impossible to get a beer or drink during the evening. Overall a pleasant stay

Room Tip: Make sure you get the new wing clubrooms
