“Location is the only adventage”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2011

I stayed 3 nights because it was walking distance from where I needed to be. We were given a room in the basement. The hotel itself and our room were extremely unclean (just grubby). There are no wardrobes just a hook on the wall to hang clothes. There is no restaurant/breakfast in the hotel so information on their website is false. No tea/coffee making facilities. Service is very basic (two ladies at the reception desk/one per shift) and you need to do everything yourself. The only thing they do is replacement of tovels. Room / Bathroom / toilet not cleaned during the day. No shampoo in bathroom.
The only thing good was that the location was great. However otherwise stay away from this hotel.

“thank god the nightmare is over”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 September 2010

We stayed for 2 nights. The biggest mistake we could have made. The hotel was extremely unclean and dilapadated. The sheets had stains on them, the bathroom tiles were cracked and had something like mould growing in the shower. We had to change rooms because our toilet was clogged and even worse when we checked into our new room the toliet seat had not been properly cleaned. The heating is switched off at night so it gets extremely cold. The only thing good was that the receptionist who checked us in was very nice and the location was nice. However otherwise stay away from this hotel.

“Great location and friendly atmosfere”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 August 2010

We stayed at this hotel with friends for couple of nights. Location is perfect! Oxford street just a 5 minutes walk.
Hotel is very simply and everything is very old...not the nicest one, but price was OK, and that girls who work there were very welcome and always ready to help as they can.
Suggest, because very good location!

“Great location for a dump”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 July 2010

Where can I start? On the upside, the location is great, near Marble Arch and Edgeware Road.

However, surley reception staff, dirty room (not unheigenicly dirty, just grubby), mildew in bathroom, noisy corridors, window frame broken, small portable TV with snow for a pictire and no batteries in the remote. Bed uncomfortable with springs that went boing every time you turned over. Bathroom / toilet not cleaned during the day. No shampoo in bathroom, toilet paper so thin you needed 4 sheets at a time.

I stayed 3 nights because it was 3 minutes walk from where I needed to be, and as I was out from 7.30am to 9.30pm every day, I didn't walk out straight away.

On a philosophical level, there need to be hotels like this to ensure you appreciate other hotels more.

“This place is disgusting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 July 2010

We went to this 'Hotel' as part of a hen weekend, the person who had booked it had arranged that we would be able to leave our bags in a room as we could not book in until 3pm & they would not let us pay until after 3pm too.

Well when we went in it looked dirty in the hallway but i thought this was just that the cleaners were about to start cleaning.
When we finally went back later & got in to our rooms i was disgusted at the state of it, it smelt very bad. the bathroom was filthy, no blind at the window & a curtain pole that looked like if we had used it it would have fallen down, no sink plug, a dirty toilet brush was in there too.

The room itself was supposed to be a double......with a 3/4 bed that had the thinnest cheapest awful mattress on it. There are no wardrobes just a hook under the TV to hang clothes.
The TV was out of focus, the tv remote had no batteries or back on so could not be used. The décor was filthy, dust all over the place, the windows do not look like they have ever been cleaned & the sash windows were awful. The view we had from the window was disgusting.
There are no tea/coffee making facilities.
At £70 for 2 people with no breakfast i think the owner is an up to date Robin Hood.
I went down to speak to the lady in reception & she said that they do not have tea/coffee making facilities i said i did not know how they felt that they could charge what they were for such a dirty place. my friend asked for her money back & was told they do not return money.

This place (note i will not say hotel) needs to be struck off any advertising website, it is disgraceful that it can even be called a hotel.
