“a neat boutique”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

person found this review helpful

finding a quiet, comfortable and reasonably priced boutique hotel in London is getting harder and harder as many hoteliers confuse the word "boutique" with small and scruffy.
This hotel is smallish but certainly not scruffy. It has a modern designer style and with very friendly staff. Lucas asked me to give him a special mention as I checked out, but in fairness all the staff were exceptionally polite and helpful. Tucked away in a quiet location a matter of 1 minute's walk from Oxford Street, this nice hotel is well worth a visit.

“Great location, comfortable and convenient”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

We stayed for 3 nights and found the hotel very convenient for everything we wanted to do. A stone's throw from Oxford Street if shopping is your thing. Bedrooms are tiny which is not unusual for London but the bathroom was huge in comparison which was welcome, if a bit weird!
The staff were really helpful and friendly and we would certainly stay there again - especially if they are offering good deals.

Room Tip: We had a room at the back which is probably quieter as the front overlooks a service road for the Ox...

“Nice hotel with outstanding staff!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

I did stay in this hotel first time in Jan 2012. Was a bit hard to find but very much in the centre of London. I have to use the Jubilee line to get to work in the morning and enjoyed the five min walk down to Bond Street station.
The first thing I noticed was the outstanding welcome at the reception, very friendly and warm. After many stays in different hotels in London this was the best welcome. Also asked for a quite room and got an upgrade to a double bed room. Room itself is ok, not the best you can expect but good for inner London standards. Also air conditioning did work as expected. Bathroom was small but clean and with everything you expect.
The breakfast area is very cozy and nice. Really enjoyed having breakfast there and service was as well outstanding. Felt a bit like in a really small hotel and staff did recognize you already at day2.
Also had some beers there with colleagues in the evening. Only downside is a very small collection. Beer was still ok and food was good.
Will definitely return as check out was also very quick and smooth.
Overall this hotel would be my first choice when coming to London.
Did not check room service or workout area.

Room Tip: I always ask for a quite room. Did not experience any problem due to noise at all at this hotel.

“Great location but small flaws”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012 via mobile

This hotel has a fantastic location just off Oxford St. The rooms are v v small but that's to be expected in a city. The breakfast was good with plenty of food. The decor is v nice & very clean. The Reception staff were extremely helpful.

A few minor complaints. The windows are very drafty. Like a previous reviewer said double glazing is badly needed. The bar is dead at night & we didn't feel welcome especially as they set all the tables round us for breakfast at 11.30pm!! I felt we were a burden rather than welcome business. I also didn't find the breakfast manager at all friendly.

I would recommend this hotel for a shopping break.
