“Even cheap hotels should be clean”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

For a hotel in this location for the relatively low price, I didn't expect much. Indeed, the room was tiny, the breakfast meager (go to Bencho on Earl's Court Road), and the walls paper-thin. I was ok with all that. Wifi was working fine, and staff were very friendly.
Interestingly, the bathroom had no heating. Fun showering on a freezing January morning, especially as the water pressure was very low (and that was only on the 2nd floor). It also had a huge stain of black mould in the corner (no wonder as it's not heated...), and that is definitely not ok. We complained, and it got mostly cleaned away the next day; we were also offered a different room should we still not be happy. However, this should not happen and be cleaned before anybody complains.

Dear Guest,
We are very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us. When you pointed out the issue in the bathroom we did our best to resolve the situation for you. I apologise again that it was overlooked by housekeeping.
Kind Regards

“London Town Hotel, convenient to Earls Court tube station”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

excellent, clean pleasant hotel, polite and helpful staff. Good decor throughout , especially liked the hotel lounge. Would definately stay again. Resonably priced hotel considering prices in London- and it's clean, NOT dingly or squalid like some lower cost hotels! Very close to Earls court Tube (underground station) so it's handy, near to the late night 'Mediterranean' restaurant which I have frequented for over 25 years (just around the corner) also night club now next door to the Med. My room was small (being a single) but adequate for my needs. Overall a pleasant hotel with good staff and an excellent continental breakfast (which didnt skimp!)

Room Tip: I asked for ground floor, but there IS a lift which is great in a small hotel.

“Traveling alone”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 January 2012

I stayed here 5 nights during 2nd week of October 2011. The staff was most cordial; the location great to Earl's Court Tube Station. Good and varied restaurants nearby. Bus transportation convenient also. I upgraded from a single to a double room. Glad I did because for 5 nights I wanted a bit more space. I had an interior room with no windows, but a delightfully large skylight which opened and also had a shade. I could see the stars! The public "livingroom" was a nice place to take a glass of wine and read or use the computer (for a small fee). There's a hot teapot always at the ready. I was comfortable, the staff was pleasant, the breakfast adequate and the service good. It's in a converted late 1800s townhouse in a neighborhood of similar properties. I stayed one night across the street earlier in my trip and would not go back there. I'd go back to Londontown again! THAT speaks for itself, I think!

“Fair quality & rates, close to tube station”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

The hotel is just 4 mins walk from the tube station (Earl's Court, use Warwick road exit).
The room was fair, and the equipment was correct, with a new TV and phone set.
There is no sound nor thermal insulation, so just pray for the next room to stay quiet during the night...
The bathroom was clean, but very cold as there is no heating and it was December.

The girl at the desk was smiling and very open to provide informations on the city.
The breakfast has a quite low choice of items, but good french croissants.
Breakfast maids were very nice and tried to do her best to please the customers.
There is a computer in the lounge for the hosts, but its use is not free.
Lots of hotels in the same quiet street.
