We booked a room at late notice on Late Rooms. We arrived on the Saturday and were given the wrong room. We had paid for an Executive Suite and when we reached our first room it was a standard twin. We had been involved in a head on car crash the evening before and some may say it was stupidity that had encouraged us to go, being black and blue, heavily brusied and uncomfortable but we wanted to make use of the jacuzzi with a bottle of MUSCLE SOAK! We called Reception who asked us to return downstairs with the key. My husband was a little disappointed to the tone, manner and unfriendliness of the receptionist who concluded the call with - Have you used anything in this room? He reply - we've had a cup of tea! We returned to reception where we gave the key back and with no apology were handed another key - the receptionist uttered - it's an executive premier. The room was as advertised but as tired as the previous but we did have the large bath to relax in.(Good, that's what we ordered and had paid for) Undeterred, we spent the rest of the afternoon in the jacuzzi and sleeping, and enjoying the views from the room which were amazing. We were in no state to go out for dinner so wanted to arrange room service. No menu in the room. Called and waited 30 mins for this to arrive, it did after another follow up call. We ordered food which was worth waiting for. Breakfast the next morning really let us down again - queued for 10 minutes to get into the breakfast room. No fresh tea/coffee, no cutlery...............We asked two different waitresses for assistance, they never returned. My husband ended up taking clean cutlery from tables which hadn't been used so we could eat! Very unorganised and this was demonstarted from the environment. We left taking 2 English Breakfast teabags and made tea in our room. Mmmmm......Not the best hotel by far- location is great though.
Room Tip: Executibve premier rooms have fantastic view of the Thames
