“Clean, comfy room. Great breakfast.”

As with many London hotels, the standard rooms are quite small. However, the room was very comfortable and clean which meant a great nights sleep. We used the bar briefly upon return from our theatre trip in the evening and it was cozy with a good selection of drinks. The best 2 things about this hotel were the friendly people throughout (from check in to breakfast to check out) and the breakfast - vast selection and properly cooked sausages (a rareity in most hotels we find!) About 10 minute walk from Gloucester Rd tube station and although its on a main road it was very quiet. Would highly recommend.

Room Tip: Deluxe rooms are actually standard ones. V comfy, but smallish. We were on a high floor - looked lik...

“Usual Marriott standards”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

I have stopped here many times, A little out if the centre of London but easily accessible via the tube. High standard of decor and usual Marriott standard rooms. Breakfast is very good and the big windows over looking the Bath Road give a fresh start to the day.
The only negative is the car parking charges. Expensive to park overnight and once they parked my car 20 minutes away. The local street attendants are also a bit keen.
Use the bus or tube and it is an ideal hotel.

“A good hotel let down by its noisy air conditioning.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. I was given a room in the lower floor with a very noisy air con. It was like being in a factory. I complained to the reception but no one can fix the problem. I was moved to another room on a higher floor, and the noise level, although still high compared to other hotels that I have stayed in, was somewhat bearable.

Apart from that, the room was furnished to a high standard, and was quite spacious by London norm. The staffs were very friendly and professional as one can expect from any Marriott hotels. The hotel was well located near a couple of tube stations.

If not for the aircon noise, the stay would have been perfect.

I have not eaten in the hotel restaurant and therefore would not comment on it.

“Good stay for a weekend”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

I used my points to stay at this hotel with my boyfriend during a shopping trip to London, but also if you are not a Marriott member and want a good quality hotel for a good price, this is a perfect hotel to stay in.
The location is great: you have the tube within 5 minute walking distance that can take you anywhere in the city and of course you can take a taxi to drive you to West End, but I prefer using the tube.
The rooms are on the small side, but most rooms in London hotels are tiny so again this was not a big surprise. We did not go down for breakfast so I cannot comment on the breakfast in the hotel but the bar is definitely nice and is stocked with lots of different imported American beers. My boyfriend is from Virginia beach and imagine his surprise when the bar tender offered him some of the typical beers for his region. He was absolutely thrilled and proceeded to educate me in the beer brewing in his country.
The staff were friendly: nothing was a big issue for them and everything was done with a smile.
I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking to stay in London for a weekend.
