I booked two nights here as part of a show/hotel break through just London theatre breaks so I will not use them again either. This hotel is just disgusting do not go there!

This hotel is disgusting in every way. It is dirty and I have never in my life experienced such bad service. The rooms are awful and I would recommend that anyone looking for a cheap hotel, spends an extra few pounds and stays elsewhere as this our stay was a horrible experience. When we returned to the 'hotel' (more like a shabby hostel) we were unable to get the door to open and they key was not working. We contacted staff who came and had a look and after a few attempts say they would have to wait until 9am the next morning to fix it!! Luckily, we had friends staying in another room so we all squashed together and the others had to go to another hotel! Gresham hotel did NOT refund ANY of our money!!!!! I was appauled that we had to sleep in an empty room with out belongings locked in our original room. This place made me very angry ... I think the other reviews here sum it up (if only the friend who booked it had taken a look!)

My partner commentated below under "filthy filthy filthy " . I have never stayed in a hotel so disgusting ! I have worked with the homeless in the past and I have seen cleaner night shelters.I saw the cockroach too and as a result am contacting Environmental Health.The hotel should be worried about this as I will not rest until the premises are improved or closed down .It needs to be closed down as visitors from abroad should not have this place as an initial idea of UK hotel standards ! In the hotel lobby it has stuck on a window...rated by trip advisor .....it certainly is .......rated as AWFUL ! Do not use this place .We left the place at 7am because we wanted to get into the London Street which was cleaner ! We could have come back to try to get a refund when the manager came at 8 am but felt that it was a waste of time as others on here had been promised a refvund but never recieved it .Well after I have finished with them they will wish they had !

The other reviews say it all, wish I had seen them first but it was a quick booking. Absolutely filthy, bed bugs and when I spotted a baby cockroach crawling on my pillow, that was enough I sat up all night and left as soon as I can. I will be writing to the environmental department to report this disgusting hotel.
