“London is definitely outpriced”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 December 2011

the typical hotel that could cost 40 € in any other city in Europe but as you're in London and during Christmast shopping time, it costs 175 £/night
We came last week to London to visit one client, the guy wanted to please us and told us he'll book the hotel and paid 375 £ for 2 rooms but honestly i could have spend the money to drink in a club and then sleep on the sofa.....

the room was less than 10 square meters, no heat and as it was only 8° outside (probably too much for the staff) the window was open !
the bathroom/toilets is so small that you could play the famous "toilets & shave" game

when everyone is coming back at night you can easilly know what the think and say as the sound is like if they were in your room

definitely not worth the money. And you know what is the worst ?? in the morning of the day after we had, with the same client, a breakfast at Rennaissance Hotel in St Pancrass (which is now my favorite hotel in London) before going to Paris so it was like coming from Hell to Heaven, but it was only for breakfast

“Definitely not worth the money.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 October 2011

Do not stay here if you can avoid it. The service is horrible. When we arrived they had lost our reservation and accused us of not confirming, even though we had a printed confirmation and the rooms had been pre-paid. Eventually we got our rooms although my father had to pack up the next morning and leave his luggage in storage all day because they weren't sure what room they would have for him for the second night.
The TV in my room didn't work and when I went to reception the woman there said it was probably the batteries in the remote and there was nothing she could do about it. She would leave a note for it to be fixed the next day. The next night it still wasn't fixed and this same reception person again said there was nothing she could do about it. When I asked if she could give me a discount she said no, only the manager could do that and the manager was off for the weekend. What kind of hotel has no manager on the weekend??
Add to this very little hot water, broken sink stopper, filthy carpets and surly breakfast staff (except Melina, she is nice) and a smell of sewage in the main floor hall and you have a very unpleasant stay. London is busy and expensive but you can do much better than the Reem hotel. Never again!

“Sketchy!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011

My husband and I arrived after a long day of travel and were greeted by two pleasant men at the front desk. Something seemed wrong however when they said we would have to follow them to our room. They took us down the hall, down steps, through the dining hall, and to a door that had a pile of dirty towels and a beat up vacuum cleaner outside. We stepped in and I THOUGHT IT WAS A JOKE! Bars on the window with no screen leading out to the lower level filled with black trash bags. People were smoking on the street that was 4 feet above us. NO A.C., URINE STAINS ON THE TOILET SEAT! My husband demanded another room and they would not provide us with one because according to them they were booked and the manager was away. We booked this room 4 months ago!! We were one step away from leaving, but they promised us another room the next night (we were only staying two nights). I was so upset. The second room was better but so small we had to put a chair in the bathroom to fit our two suitcases inside. And again, no screen on the window which was ground level. Never ever again...save yourself more than a headache.

“stayed in the box”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2011

first impressions not to bad but then opened the door to our room or should i say box, it was down in the basement and smelt of stale cigerette smoke. The bed was clean but the room was in need of up dating, the sink plug in the bathroom was broken, breakfast was ok nothing special and only sit were you are told or Anna will shout at you i had to go and ask for milk for the tea and was given a rather frosty look from her as she was eating her toast in full view of other guests comming into breakfast. Also the fire exit door was locked as my husband heard it being unlocked the next morning so the staff could go out to smoke and then let the smoke drift into our room.sorry reems we wont be back.
