“HotelSnob Seal of Approval”

My adult son and I were in London to visit other family members in the UK. We found the Royal Park to be a lovely hotel in a very convenient location near Hyde Park (for beauty and a healthy jog) and Paddington station (for seeing London and day trips outside the city). Although we arrived at the hotel two hours before check-in, fully exhausted and disheveled by the long flight from San Francisco, we were happily surprised to find our room ready to accommodate us. (We were lodged in one of the Executive Twin rooms.) The entire hotel is decorated with a lovely, understated polish, not the usual visual assault of hotel fru-fru; and the general palette of our room was a warm golden color - a most welcome contrast to the gray skies of London! The staff was uniformly cordial, the room quiet, and the beds comfortable, but what we really relished was the arrival of a splendid English breakfast each morning, delivered to our room by two cheerful waiters.
I will definitely be staying here again.

Room Tip: Our 4th floor room overlooking mews was very quiet.

“Perfectly Charming”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

This was even better than I had expected. Even though I had arrived late into the night, the receptionist was welcoming and sweet. I loved the breakfast in bed and the luxuriously deep bathtub along with robe and slippers made for a comfy pampering stay. The location was amazing, Paddington is a really convenient station to be around the corner from, especially with the Heathrow express. Loved this hotel, exactly how I would imagine staying in London to be like, not like one of those generic American styled hotels.

“We had a great stay”

I can only recommand this hotel
Only a 5 min walk away from paddington and lancaster gate tube
Very friendly staff, you can leave your luggage after check out or before check in.
Cab to pancras station 25£
you're welcomed with a drink.
In the room there's a minibar (with a lot of stuff), a robe and slippers waiting for you.
The bathroom is ok
There is a terrace (access through Bfloor) where can sit outside and eventually have a smoke this is a non smoking hotel
It was perfect
The only thing that i can think about is that breakfast in the room was a bit poor. Only one piece of bread each??? for a 9.99£with a hot drink and a juice. Add 3£ for service what is not mentionned on breakfastmenu.
Free wifi ask the accesscode at reception. They can provide you with an adaptor 5£ that will be refunded at the end of your stay
I certainly recommand this hotel especially if you want to be close to the shopping area

“Luxury B&B”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

Quite nice little, clean, posh, central bed and breakfast. Quite expensive, thin doors but quiet, and an awkward system for the breakfast, which is charged extra. One chooses from a list (observing the amount one is entitled too) and hangs it on the door outside. In the morning the breakfast is then served in the green or blue room at the time you specified. By the way, not one of the rooms is blue or green but something in between... Oh, and very friendly staff.

“1st wedding anniversary”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

It is with trepidation that I write this review because when we do we never seem to be able to get same deals/service gain! However, we booked into this hotel mid December to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. It was such a fabulously relaxing and cosy hotel. The rooms are complete with top of the range products and lovely home comforts (however was bit bemused as to why there was no tea/coffee/kettle tray in the room??)
Mark Battle was our DM during our stay and he was knowledgable, friendly and extremely helpful.
We hope to be back for many more anniversaries!
Well done Royal PArk a true gem in a hit and miss city!

You were a HIT!
xx

Room Tip: We had a room overlooking man road - not at all noisey. Church opposite but we didnt find the bells...
