I have stayed at The Leonard Hotel for two nights in January with my mother every year for the last four years.

The location is perfect for our annual shopping trips, being only two minutes’ walk from Oxford Street, and we always find a friendly welcome from the pleasant staff. It is a small but very comfortable hotel, and both the public areas and rooms are clean, cosy and welcoming.

We always book a one bedroom suite (if you shop around, there are some good deals to be had online), as we each like to have our own bedroom. The suites have a good sized bedroom, large lounge/dining room (both rooms have a TV), bathroom and entrance hall, and are well furnished. I can vouch for the fact that the sofa beds in the lounge are very comfortable.

Breakfast is always good, and restaurant staff are again charming. At weekends, there is a breakfast buffet, which isn’t quite as good as the a la carte breakfast which is served during the week, but still perfectly acceptable.

I would very much recommend The Leonard Hotel, particularly if you are looking for good quality accommodation in a small, welcoming hotel that feels very ‘English’, unlike the big chain hotels which, once you pass the front door, could be anywhere in the world.

We will no doubt return to the Leonard again next January, and we’re already looking forward to it.

We stayed in an apartment 4th floor across the road from the hotel ,two bedrooms two bathrooms kitchen and lounge area.It was an extremely handy location close to Oxford St and Marble Arch tube.
The apartment itself really needed some refurbishment and some serious cleaning the carpets where badly stained and the furniture is looking very tired.
The beds where excellent comfortable and with the double glazed window a good nights sleep was achieved.This area has lots of resturants and nightlife which is handy For the price I think free WIFI should be included

Stayed at the Leonard over Thanksgiving in one of the their two bedroom suites. While a bit dated, the suite was very comfortable with all the amenities needed for an extended stay. Washer dryer unit was helpful, although the dryer function is a little funky (hard to get clothes completely dry). Staff was knowledgeable and helpful (pretty even -- all of them helped a lot). Dining room at hotel is very nice, and is particularly great for breakfast and for a late night drink and dessert. Terrific location, right near lots of shopping, Hyde Park, and very easy to get to all the sights in Central London. Would definitely use the hotel again when in London.

My daughter booked afternoon tea with champagne as a birthday surprise. The room is lovely, with lots of interesting photographs and cosy traditional decor. The staff are polite, friendly and helpful. The crockery is stylish. We had two pots of English tea, sandwiches, cakes and scones, all fresh and tasty, and two glasses of good champagne. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an atmospheric treat.
