To start of with, when you rate a room or a hotel or a Villa or a Mansion 1st see what it is rated example 1 star? 2,3,4,5, or what ever , Then see how it was booked ,,was it on last minute basis ?? or you had the chance to choose.
I had the chance to choose i looked for a 3 star hotel in London i looked for a good location near an important sub, rail, bus station (Victoria station ) i looked for a good price and I chose Huttons .I read a couple of views and true i was a bit scared of what i was going to find but i made the choice and said to my family ..we will have to see for ourselves.
We got there at 6.00pm Receptionist was very helpful told us what ever we needed to know even gave us a map ,gave us our key card and went up to our room the room number was 405. We went in the room and we looked to see what we have and what we don't we are a family of 4 . we had a double bed and 2 singles 2 side tables a clothes hanging space and an ensuite ,a small shelve for tea and coffee.apart from a window that at night we could see the London eye.Now some important notes
Was the room small ? YES but good enough
Was the ensuite Small?? Yes but again good enough
Was the room a bit noisy ? maybe lift noise or people corridor traffic???Well yes but what do expect from a London 3 star Hotel ?? all that is all normal in a London Hotel .if you dont want that you should book a room in the country side.
it was very good for the price paid and it was clean ,cleaned everyday , tea and coffee updated every day, towels changed everyday, beds updated everyday
room was updated every day. Breakfast area clean , true we had toast butter cheese jam coffee, tea cereal as much as we wanted but dear lord what do people except a 4 coarse meal??? if you wanted extra's like bacon sausages or what ever there was a small charge no big deal at all.Apart from that they had 3 double toasters everything in order and the staff was excellent very helpful and tables cleaned at once. The Hotel is just a 10minute walk from Victoria station and Victoria station has the lot ,Transit to Gatwick airport ,trains to main cities in Europe, trains to English stations, Underground, and Bus stations, taxis you name it. If you are a true traveler you can walk to marble arch in 50 minutes or to Buckingham Palace in 35 .Also the hotel has another underground nearby only 10 minutes walk again ,its Pimlico station .The hotel has a near bus stop also.
Well i think that's enough to guide you,. All i can say is i have stayed in many London hotels and beleive me , i have slept in more expensive rooms than this and was very disappointed,
This London hotel was value for money ,I would go again and again as i said before i stayed in 405 i used the breakfast area and the reception and in my opinion it was very very satisfactory
