i stayed here only because it had my name on the top of the sigh. i no idea what it was like but i was a good gamble , people were very polite to me and fo some one who i far from posh it was a very nice enviroment for me. I loved the food and the bed rooms. i only had 2 complaints about this hotle the walls inside the rooms are very thin and you can here a bit of noise, over all it was a good stay .

“Good value at the Amber hotel”

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Amber Hotel for ten days in December, 2003. Originally, we had a twin room (two beds), which was quite spacious. We then moved to a double room, which was much smaller. Each room had its own bathroom and TV. Also, the rooms were clean.

Breakfast is included in the morning (tea, coffee, toast, cereal), and was good.

The location is FANTASTIC. You can walk to Kensington High Street, and Earls Court tube station is situated within a five minute walk. Also, the price is very reasonable.

I only have two small complaints. The walls are very thin - if you don't want noise, this probably isn't the hotel for you. Also, the phones in the room did not work.

Overall, a good hotel at a great price!

I stayed at the Amber in November 2002. It was about a 10-min. walk from the Earl's Court tube station. Staff was friendly and efficient. Room tiny, but for about $40/night, who cares? My only criticism is that interior walls could have used fresh paint. Breakfast was plentiful and included in the room price.
