“Holiday Inn kensington”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2012

Good standard, clean and efficient hotel ideally suited for The V and A, Science Museum, Natural History Museum etc. Tube station just around the corner. Albert Hall within easy walking distance (approx 15 mins). Lots of local dining out opportunities. Hotel bar not open when we returned at night but lots of local pubs if you want a nightcap. All in all very good value for money.

“great location, lovely staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

getting to this hotel by tube so easy and only a 2 minute walk to the hotel from tube station. the staff were lovely and helpful. room was ready as soon as we arrived and was clean with everything we needed for our stay. only a few minutes walk from hotel to history museum and victoria and albert museum. 2 tube stops to knightsbridge for harrods and only 7 into the heart of london for shopping or the theatres. the hotel even kept our luggage for us after checking out so we could go out and about for the day before our journey home.

“Location, Location, Location”

My wife and I stayed here on a Priority Club (Holiday Inn's loyalty scheme) 2 nights for the price of 1 deal in February 2012.
This is a very large hotel on the busy Cromwell Road, only a very short walk from Gloucester Road tube station on the Piccadilly line.
We had planned a visit to a concert at the Albert Hall, an exhibition at the V & A Museum and a West End show. This hotel is in a perfect location for a combination such as this, being less than a pleasant ten minute walk from the museums and the Albert Hall and just 5 stops on the tube to Piccadilly Circus. This hotel is used by lots of airline staff, again because the Piccadilly Line runs directly to and from Heathrow Airport, so it would be a good choice for anyone arriving at Heathrow and seeking a hotel that is convenient for both central London and the Albert Hall/Museums area around Kensington. Reception can be busy at times, but the services offered here are typicallly (good) those found in Holiday Inns elsewhere. If you have the choice, it is worth asking for a room well above street level - we were on floor 14 and heard no traffic noise. We used the restaurant only for breakfast, which was served buffet style and was very good. You can save a few pounds by buying vouchers for breakfast at reception rather than paying at the restaurant.
Good location; decent sized room by London standards; friendly staff and a nice breakfast.
What's not to like? - Nothing, we'll certainly use this hotel again.

Room Tip: Higher floors eliminate possible traffic noise.

“Great base for the Museums and Albert Hall”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

We visited the Holiday Inn Kensington Forum for two nights and were happily surprised at how close it was to cafe's, shops Museums etc and the Tube station at Gloucester Road is a 2minute walk.
We arrived too early to book in but they were very helpful and we were able to let them know we had arrived and to leave our luggage with them while we were at a matinee show at the Royal Albert Hall.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room clean and well maintained, Our only gripe if there was one, was that we had stunning views over London being on the eighteen floor however the windows were very dirty and so we had to open them to see anything and in January this is not really recommended.
The Breakfast included in our price was a very good selection of cereals, hams cheese's, and full cooked breakfast. we would definately stay here again while in London for a show etc,

Room Tip: we got our hotel through Show and Stay a website that offers hotel and a show in London and it was v...
