My husband and I stayed in the Danubius for 3 nights this month. We were visiting a relation in London and priced the Holiday Inn in Carburton Street and found that the Danubius was approximately half the price so opted to stay there.
It would seem that you have a bit of a walk from the nearest tube station. We opted to walk from Baker Street station which was approx. 15 minutes.
We were happy with the hotel, it was spotlessly clean. The twin bedded room was smallish and the bathroom was definitely small but adequate. Reception not particularly friendly but were ok. Food was fine, we dined in the bar but could pick off the restaurant and bar menu which was good. Breakfast had a good selection of food, fresh fruit salad, cooked meats and cheese, cereals and cooked breakfast etc.
Coming from Ireland, we found it pricey, particularly with the exchange rate.
The first morning, cleaners (I assume) tried opening the door at 8am, luckily we had the security chain on, so I would advise residents to either lock and use the security chain plus put the 'do not disturb' sign out to make sure you are not unnecessarily disturbed.
We would be happy to stay there again.
