“Good Hotel Long walk to the tube”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 February 2012

Stayed here for 2 nights on Business in February, overall hotel is of a good standard clean room and a decent breakfast.

Bar is extreamly good but as always in London expensive,

Hotel is situated between Baker Street & St Johns Wood Tube stations which are a good 20 minutes walk whichever station you chose to use.

Local restuarants are few and far between and you reall need to head for Baker Stree tor Swiss cottage for anything decent.

Excellent location for Lords Cricket and London Zoo, so would imaging the hotel comes into its own in the summer months

Room Tip: Room that doesnt face the main road

We stayed here for a day at Lord's watching India V England. Excellent position and the rooms were ok. I'd stay here again if I was going to Lord's.

“Good comfortable hotel in a convenient location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

We enjoyed a last minute weekend break at the Danubius. Our twin room was spacious and well equipped; the continental breakfast included offered a very good choice and we didn't bother upgrading to the cooked options - another 8 pounds each seemed a lot! Good location right opposite Lords cricket ground and handy for buses down to Baker St. Our only problem was that the hot water was never really hot enough. The bath was so narrow that it was difficult to get out of so we had warm showers instead.

“Good Hotel in central location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

My husband and I stayed in the Danubius for 3 nights this month. We were visiting a relation in London and priced the Holiday Inn in Carburton Street and found that the Danubius was approximately half the price so opted to stay there.

It would seem that you have a bit of a walk from the nearest tube station. We opted to walk from Baker Street station which was approx. 15 minutes.

We were happy with the hotel, it was spotlessly clean. The twin bedded room was smallish and the bathroom was definitely small but adequate. Reception not particularly friendly but were ok. Food was fine, we dined in the bar but could pick off the restaurant and bar menu which was good. Breakfast had a good selection of food, fresh fruit salad, cooked meats and cheese, cereals and cooked breakfast etc.

Coming from Ireland, we found it pricey, particularly with the exchange rate.

The first morning, cleaners (I assume) tried opening the door at 8am, luckily we had the security chain on, so I would advise residents to either lock and use the security chain plus put the 'do not disturb' sign out to make sure you are not unnecessarily disturbed.

We would be happy to stay there again.

Room Tip: Higher rooms have less street noise and ask for view over Regents Park or Lords Cricket Ground. Mak...

“Good value for the money!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

We have stayed here many times when we are in London. It is a nice hotel with newer, clean rooms. The location is great because you can walk to the subway and there are restaurants and bars within a short walking distance. The breakfast is OK, typical British style. For this hotel's price range, it is the hotel I prefer to stay in downtown London.
