We stayed here for three nights ont he front end of our holiday in London. Purchased the room through getaroom.com at about $92/night US which included hot breakfast. The rooms are small and older, but clean and the atmosphere for a visit to London is great. We had requested a double room, which was not available, so the staff changed two twins into a double for us - very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is only one block from the Kensington station on the Picadilly line from Heathrow and just a few blocks from Hyde Park, British Museum, and Victoria/Albert Museum. Good Indian restaurant across the street. Definitely recommend and will try to stay here on next visit.

Do not expect much from this hotel. The "three star" says it all. It truly is a 3 star hotel, however, for the price and location it is extremely favorable. I will definitely stay there again for my business travel purposes but not for leisure as I would want something more pampering and relaxing.

The room I stayed in was extremely clean and the bathroom as well.

I understand that a lot of people criticise the poorly maintained interior of the hotel rooms - the plaster of the ceiling seemed a little untrustworthy, and the walls could definitely use a paint job, not to mention the windows that look like they're one hundred years old. (My room overlooked the playground of what seemed to be a primary school. So a bit of noise during the day, but all falls quiet in the evening.)

But why is this such a terrible thing? The room was clean and spacious, the towels and bedsheets unstained and smelling fresh - I've stayed in a lot worse for the same price. Yes, you could get a room in a Best Western Hotel in the same price range - but where's the charm in that? These rooms have character - it's almost poetry to stay in them.

The reception hall is impressive thanks to the chandelier, and the hallways are nice and wide, as well as the elevator, which slides you up without a hint of movement. Staff are indeed not overly friendly but polite and they did their job as they should.

I have had a pleasant and efficient stay in this hotel and would like to go again.

I've booked this hotel because I had a ridiculously cheap price on the website. Once I arrived the woman at reception could not find my reservation and the manager was away! They however had rooms available and offered me one, but at the price significantly higher than the one I had booked before! I went to my room, which was shabby and dirty like the rest of the hotel, and found out that the light in the toilet did not work. I went to reception to change the room - it took me almost an hour of angry complaining, and I was given another room,which was just as bad, but had the light working.
100% of the staff I've met are Spanish and speak very little English. When I've complained they just answered me in Spanish which I find very rude.
All in all the worst hotel I've been to. Quite good location though.
I would not recommend this to anyone in their right mind.
