We booked relatively last minute (a week or so before) and our four night stay included New Year's Eve so we were thrilled to find Club Quarters as somewhere so reasonably priced (we paid around 99 pounds a night, including New Year's Eve) and were pleasantly surprised with the facilities. We weren't travelling for business but still found it had perfectly respectable facilties and a good size room.
- Reasonable quality toiletries all provided.
- Decent cupboard space, big tv, decent lighting, alarm clocks, etc.
- Free wi-fi, reasonable speed (the no fuss kind)
- Bottles and chilled water dispensers available near the lifts on each floor (even better than bottled water because you can use as many or few bottles as you want depending on your convenience/environmental conscience)
- There aren't really 24 hour room service facilities (there are external delivery options but there are gaps) but there is a Gaucho's restaurant onsite (closes at 10pm though).
I can't think of anything you'd expect to find in a place like but didn't.
We had no dramas with the service at all, there were always staff around to help. We were even offered an umbrella each when it was raining one day. When we turned up super early (before 8am) they stored our luggage while we went for breakfast and checked us in at 10am.
The location is great - easy walking distance to London and Tower Bridges, Tower of London, St Paul's, Borough Market, Tate Modern. Well located for Bank/Monument tube stations, which cover most lines. Yes, the area does shut down a lot on weekends/public holidays (even M & S and Boots close!) but it's so close to places that don't close, it didn't bother us at all. I would say wear well-soled shoes though, as the whole area has cobblestone streets and the area is designed for walking!
