“Small but Clean”

I booked this hotel through a travel agency, and it was the best one out of the two. I was nervous to stay here from the reviews I saw, but I was pleasently surprised. The hotel is located in a very nice area of London. The staff we encountered were all very friendly and heplful. Our room looked as if it had just been remodeled. There is an underground station located close to the hotel. It is a good, safe place to leave your luggage and explore the city.

“A place to leave your suitcases and go sightseeing”

The place won't make the best first impression. Staff is very freindly, rooms are clena but small, could benefit from refurbishment. Enjoyed the location in the south -west part of London, with some pubs and bars around. Don't expect anything wild though!

“never again”

The hotel is cold. Noisy. Messy. Old. The rooms are small. The bathroom is all broken and not ventilated. Leave out the smell of the toilet in the room. The smell is nauseating during the entire stay. The hotel need reforms. The breakfast room is in the works and the breakfast buffet is served in boxes to be eaten in the room. The hotel does not have the heating on unless some time during the night. The window glass lets through the street noise. You can not sleep with the noise of the cars all night. The hotel is very, very dirty or in rooms or in hallways. Undertake to check out at 11 o'clock in the morning and take 5 pounds to keep the bag! Never again

“I'm still traumatised...affordable but not worth it!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 December 2011

We checked in with my boyfriend for 4 nights from last Tuesday and checked out on Saturday. I have to say this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Bathroom is old, and shower curtain is dirty (rail all rusted). Ceiling has black marks, and basin is too small.
Our room was not cleaned the first day (for some reason). Second day we had to ask one of the ladies standing on the corridore not to 'forget' to clean it, and she could not understand a thing we were saying as 'she no speak English'. We come back from sighseeing and shopping and the bathroom was 'cleaned'. Hair all over the bathtub - yes my own hair bvut I was not expecting to find it there, right? My face cloth was on the floor - and all damp. How???
Carpets on the corridor are old, very stuffy smell. Bed was fine, room was okay - small but okay as we didn't have a lot of luggage. Staff at reception was very unfriendly.
You have to buy internet vouchers. We wanted to buy the 24 hours voucher for £5 and they didn't have. They only had the 1 hour, for £1 vouchers - just as well. It was ridiculously slow and we couldn't do anything we wanted to. We had to go to the Starbucks to access the internet.
It's not a 3 star hotel, I agree with one of the reviewers - it is in the minuses. If you want value for your money, DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!

Room Tip: Don't trust the pics you see on the website!

“London Town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 December 2011

Being this is my second time in London, I stayed in the Ambassador Hotel. If you are after a quite hotel yet not too fair from the centre of London and one that will not break the bank I would recommend this hotel.
While I was here the hotel bar was closed for renovation (but that didn't bother me). On the plus side the Tube was only about a 4 minute walk away with connections to both London (about 10 minutes) and Heathrow (max 45 minutes).
In closing 4/5 ofr the Ambassadors Hotel for it's rating.
One other down side though the internet was very up and down but not bad for 5 pounds for 24hrs.
