“Excellent”

Not often I say this about a business event but I recently attended Merton Chamber of Commerce's South African Trade event at Cannizaro House and can honestly say that the quality of service, atmosphere & catering were excellent, so much so that we have booked a business event there next week. It's 3 years since I last visited Cannizaro and they have done a tremendous amount of refurbishing which is so tasteful & modern yet it still retains its unique charm.... Well done

“The Best Hotel in London”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

This hotel exceeds every expectation of what a hotel should be. The staff are friendly and very professional. The rooms are a good size. Food in the restaurant is lovely and the breakfast is amazing. The hotel has sourced local produce and with most of the produce being found in Wimbledon village, even down to the room perfume diffusers that are found in the lobby.
I am a regular visitor to the hotel and will be for many years to come. It is expensive but worth every penny.

Room Tip: Room 202 is lovely

“Lovely”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 December 2011

We stayed here as the venue for my work Christmas party and had heard good things about the place before our arrival. The look of the public areas of this boutique hotel was gorgeous and in keeping with the age of the property and the bedroom decor was tastefully done and the bed very comfortable. Given that the dinner catering was for 100 people the quality of the food was superb with the rock bass receiving particularly high praise. Less good that on a relatively mild December day the central heating was blasting out to the extent that it was uncomfortable. Also a bit of a shock to the system were the bar prices, in excess of £16 for a pint of bitter and a glass of white wine but at a discounted and subsidised price of £50 for B&B following the works dinner, I'm not complaining.

“1 night away, felt like a whole week of relaxation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 October 2011

From checkin to checkout we were very well looked after. Cannizaro House is a lovely building with great grounds, so quiet you forget this is still London. We stayed in the Tim Henman suite, which I am sure was the size of a tennis court! The bed was too comfortable and we almost over slept and missed breakfast, which is definitely not to be missed! Dinner the evening before was delicious; the vegetable are sourced from a local farm and taste like vegetables should.

We brought our own bikes (although you can borrow some from the hotel) and cycled round Wimbledon Common and Richmond Park – fantastic day (not strictly a hotel review but it just highlights the great position).

I would definitely come and stay again.

Room Tip: one that looks out over the gardens
