We stayed here in August 2011. An apartment for 6 was requested with 2 rooms to have twin beds. The apartment we were allocated had only bedroom with twin beds meaning the 2 children had to share a double bed and my sister and her husband had to sleep on the sofa bed in the lounge. When booking the travel agent did get an email saying our request may not be honoured. The 2 sofas were not big enough for 4 adults and 2 children as the 2 children liked to lay down to rest at night after a long day out in london, which meant myself and my mother had to sit on kitchen chairs. The apartment was big but did not have air conditioning -- it was far too hot at night and very noisy. By the end of 7 nights everyone was ratty, tired and not enjoying themselves. There was only 1 bathroom for the 6 of us which proved tricky at times with 2 kids needing the toilet. Furniture needs to be replaced and the kitchen needed updating. It was adequate but the whole reason for booking an apartment was so that it could be a home away from home and for more comfort than a hotel. There is a tiny lift which we barely squeezed ourselves into - and it took about 4 trips to get all the luggage up. We were told by someone staying there that the best apartments are on the first and second floor. It was probably the cheaper option offered by the mansions but the photos we saw gave a totally different picture of what we would get. We will never stay here again. The staff are lovely and ordered us taxis and even helped when we accidentally left a bag in a booked taxi however i would recommend anyone wanting to book here to double check what they are getting. Unfortunately 5 of the family had travelled internationally and had jet lag and they simply did not have the energy to complain and ask to be moved. We did make a comment to a staff member about the apartment and were told the bathroom is being upgraded - but i cannot recommend this hotel.
