“Perfect Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 February 2012

The location of the Cavendish was what attracted us to it -directly opposite Fortnum and Mason's- we had tickets for the Hockney exhibition at the RA and wanted to be in an area within comfortable walking distance of the theatres and quality restaurants - the Cavendish proved to be ideal! On arrival we were greeted by most pleasant and courteous reception staff who promptly and efficiently allocated us a room in one of the upper floors with a splendid panorama view over London. The room itself was fine with quality furnishings, a safe and a good bathroom; the only slight niggle, for us, was that there were no drawers - only a wardobe! We enjoyed the inclusive breakfast - a good range of hot and cold dishes from the buffet and the option to select individually prepared items from the menu; I selected the eggs Benedict and they were superb! Again, the waiting staff were most attentive and pleasant. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Cavenish and will certainly not look any further for a high quality base on our frequent visits to London. Well done!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on one of the top floors - the views are spectacular!

Thank you very much for your excellent review of The Cavendish, and I am delighted that we are your choice of hotel when in London. As we do not have drawers in the room as standard our housekeeping department do keep a few sets so on your next visit if you ask at reservations stage or once you are at the hotel we will happily get a set of drawers into your room.

I look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit.

Best regards

“You get what you expect - quality!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 February 2012

My husband and I were fortunate enough to win a two night break in a Junior Suite and have returned home feeling very refreshed and completely satisfied with our stay. Our accommodation was of course outstanding with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in and a beautiful decor. The service from all staff was polite and professional and there is nothing I could think of to improve.

Room Tip: Junior Suite 1503 has some noise from the lift shaft below but did not disturb our sleep in the slig...

“Perfect location, reasonable price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

We stayed here on a weekend visit to London. The hotel is fantastic - the superior room had great views across the rooftops towards the London Eye, and comfy bed and top class amenities.
We really didn't expect such luxury for the price paid. Breakfast is a real treat - the individual service and quality of the food is outstanding.
We will return!

Room Tip: Pick a higher floor to get the views.

“Excellent all round service but watch the VAT”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

Hotel is first class on Jermyn St and handy for all West End attractions and shopping. Near to Green Park and tube station as well as Buckingham Palace. Room is good size, excellent en suite and TV has all the normal channels including Sky Sports if you are not going out. Dinner in hotel was excellent and a great breakfast although this is not included in the room rate, so ask at reception as its only extra £15.00 but more if you add in the morning.
Biggest let down was that room rate £205 actually didnt include VAT so in fact there is another £40.00 to get added to the bill beware. On the plus side you can get a freetelegraph newspaper delivered.

“Just as good on Second Visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

This was our second time in staying here in the Wonderful Cavendish Hotel, as always the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms have everything you need and are very clean and comfortable, great breakfast with nice choice of hot and cold dishes, we would stay here for the sausages alone...LoL they are so tasty. The big plus of the Cavendish is that it is within walking distance to all the main tourist sites and shopping. Will be back again.

Thank you very much for your excellent review. I am delighted that the second stay was just as good as the first. All of our breakfast produce is locally sourced with our sausages coming from Wicks Manor farm just out side of Essex, just northeast of London.

I hope that we can welcome you back in the near future for your third visit.
