Quality hotel on the outskirts of central London with easy access to subway just a few minutes walk away, or by bus at the end of the road, or black cabs that pass right outside the hotel on a regular basis looking for fares. Extremely pleasant and clean rooms with well mannered attentive staff. Excellent plentiful breakfast's that cater for most taste's. Well stocked cocktail bar albeit a little pricey, however there is a lovely little more affordable pub just over the road that does good pub grub and another just down the Bayswater Road towards Lancaster Gate tube station, recommend both. We had a standard twin room No 205 which overlooks the very pleasant hotel front, it was quiet, smart and clean with tv and tea/coffee facilities. It also had a bath with full flowing shower over the bath, our friends next door only had a shower so be sure to state which you prefer when booking your room. We booked on line and got a deal around £350 for 3 nights with continental breakfast included, we then chose to upgrade to a full English buffet breakfast for another £5.50, well worth it in our opinion, although if you like your eggs fried instead of the readily available scrambled then be sure to ask for them early enough as they only cook them to order, and that sometimes takes a while, and the slightly annoying conveyor belt toaster, no matter how you adjust it, toast takes at least 3 times around to be anything more than warm bread. We would definitely stay here again and have no hesitation in recommending it on to others, and many thanks to the very helpful and pleasant staff as they make it what a hotel should be, a very enjoyable experience.
Room Tip: The standard rooms are good and upgrading to a junior suite we feel is not worth the money, you need...
