“quite okay..but I book other hotel if go to london again...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

we booked online before our trip. the location is near the bayswater tube station. there is also mini market, laundry, halal food cafe/restaurant and many souveniers shops all around. Plus, the Malaysia Student Hall is also nearby. you can go there and eat nasi lemak, laksa, nasi dan lauk-pauk.

the hotel itself... hmm.. i think there are others which is much better...

“affordable & convenient”

we stayed there on october last year. its very affordable & convenient. very near to the tube station and bus stop and also only a walking distance away to hyde park. it was very easy to travel around, its near to most places i really wanted to go. there are many sourvenir shops in that area - (cheaper than those at centre of london). plus there are many shops serving halal food. the manager and staffs were friendly. the manager even gave us discount and offered us the room at Ground Floor. we had surveyed some other similar budget hotels in that area, but whiteleaf is the best - based on cleanliness and safety. will stay there again for the next london getaway. :)

This hotel is great value for money. Given the price, what else could you want? The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly. The Celenk family from Turkey thanks you for everything :-)

“NOT TOO IMPRESSED WITH WHITELEAF”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

We are a retired couple who wanted a budget -price hotel reasonably centrally situated with close access to public transport. Whiteleaf ticked all these boxes ideally with 2 tube stations & bus-route with wide variety of shops & restaurants & with the bonus of Kensington Palace Gdns .Hyde Pk. being only a few minutes walkaway. That's the good bit; check-in desk displayed a notice saying 'back in 10 mins'. which lasted 30 and whilst waiting at reception, I noticed a pile of suitcases stacked behind the desk but with no attendant and the front-door permanantly open, anyone could have walked in and helped themselves. Not a good start. Room was small but basically serviceable, bathroom had no plug & towel-rail kept falling off the wall. Totally concur with recent correspondent re breakfast which was billed as 'continental' and was abysmal & disgusting & no-one from any continent would even consider eating there. A credit-card charge of 5% was demanded despite no prior notice of this and payment up-front was also the rule, so check your room first. I would also suggest that you take your valuables out with you, an item of mine went 'missing' during our stay of 2 nights. In conclusion, ideal for location, poor for care & quality & would only go again if desperate..

“Great for our a lil break to London”

My wife and I stayed at Whiteleaf just over a month ago to celebrate our anniversary . . We have been to London before but stayed with family then so this was our real first experience of London hotels. Fortunately it wad a good experience and we had a pleasant relaxing time at the hotel. Our room was clean and on arrival we were welcomed with fresh flowers in our room . . My wife assumed it was from me . . The receptionist was very helpful at check in and even allowed us to enter room a few hours early . . . The hotel offered free wireless Internet but as we did not have our laptop we used the pc in the lobby although there is an hourly charge for this . . The great thing about this hotel is it's location . . . It's just around the corner from bayswater train station . . We had a great meal at an Japanese restaurant but there almost every cuisine to choose from in the area. Hmmm all in all it was a satisfying stay and next year probably again the whiteleaf should we stay in London.
