We had a great time at the hotel it was very central and clean the only Complaint that we have is when we asked the concierge for a Taxi to the airport they phoned their own Private Hire Car Company and we were over charged £100 to Terminal 3.
Myself and my family got a London Black Taxi From The Airport to the Hotel and were only charged £65.00 a bad end to what we thought was a friendly trustworthy and beautiful hotel .

I stayed in the Montcalm for 4 nights and was given one of the rooms underground with no view except a dire wall. To note the room and the bed were pretty small for a double room and a little less furniture (1.40 m! bed, 2 chairs, a writing desk, another table with a plant, a wardrobe and two bed tables) may have given more space to manoeuvre. The heating system was a mess automatically lowering the temperature and blowing into our faces so we needed to turn it off every night.
The day before we left the room was not cleaned - after a spot check by the manager someone was sent to which was all right but should not happen in a 5 star. We ordered a cab the day before we left and this request was simply ignored by the concierge. When I asked about the cab the next day I was informed that the concierge did not order local taxi rides and we were expected to organize our own transport from outside the hotel.
The ladies at the reception were however sweet and very helpful and improved my view of the service.
Finally I have received better service in several other 4 star hotels in London and was rather disappointed with the value and service I received in this one.

I loved my stay at this hotel as a treat booked by my husband this week.
First the location is ideal for travelling around town only two minutes to Marble Arch Tube on the Central Line.
The room was immaculate and great attention to detail, Elemis toiletries, salon worthy hair dryer, showercap with a band (only those with really long hair will understand that!) complimentary water, well stocked mini bar. Excellent monsoon shower. Upon arrival hot flannels to warm your hands on a freezing day, smiling helpful staff.
The spa and pool area is small but well worth a visit, warm robes and slippers in the room.
I have a pet hate of feather pillows but there was a choice of fibre with out me having to contact room service.
Room service at 1 am was quick and great quality .
Booked on last minute .com so real bargin and not a bad word to say. It really is the little helpful things that make a big difference to a short stay and this hotel goes the extra mile loved it .

Holiday Inn this isn't! Wish I could afford to stay here again but suspect it was once in a lifetime. You know you have arrived when your hotel doesn't have a check-in counter. A lovely young lady checked us in at a desk then escorted us to our toom. Smallish but beautiful. The room, not the young lady. Though, come to think of it, she was smallish and beautiful, too!
Anyway, this was first class all the way and I will envy anyone who reads this and decides to give it a try. Just a step or three from Marble Arch,
