This was our second visit to this hotel. It was much better than first visit. They upgraded us (I am Starwood Platinum) to a great “studio suite” which was on a top floor and overlooked Green Park. Great View! Room was a large single room (not really a suite) but with large bedroom and living room/desk areas. The bed was a very comfortable king sized bed with great pillows & linens. The bathroom was a huge old fashioned one with a shower stall on one end and a tub with hand held shower on other. The bathroom and main rooms both had great natural lighting ( too great for my wife who prefers dim lighting for make-up application-not possible near a mirror even with drapes in living room closed.) I loved the shower with a high volume shower head located at (quite high) ceiling level. I really loved the room and the way they treated a Platinum guest. I found electric outlets a bit strange at first…all I could find unused near desk were “Italian style” for which neither the hotel nor I had an adaptor….but eventually solved problem by finding some unused, normal UK sockets in bedroom part of room and by concierge supplying me with a multi-plug strip so I could plug lamps etc in at same time as my computer. Room had WI-FI (free for Platinums). Restaurant still was very pricy, but we really did not consider using it. The Prêt A Manger carry out place a couple of blocks away had great breakfast food (including great freshly squeezed OJ) and was reasonable priced. We were smart enough to have Taxi drop us off at right entrance (not the one on Piccadilly)this time. Location is great! My wife was still turned off by shower and lighting. My “stars” review reflects only my opinion
