on the plus side :
- great view over Lambeth Palace and big Ben
- standard Novotel room, which means large space and good bathroom according to London satandards at least (usually poor !)
- rather good price, especially if you can catch one of their offers on Novotel web site
On the negative :
- poor restaurant (named "elements"), both in terms of location into the hotel and food offer. We went to the buffet dinner on a Friday night. Looked liked the USSR in the 80' : cold food, no choice ... and no guest by the way !
- poor service. The satff was very junior and unable to help as they tried to "stick to the rules". for example one of them tried to charge me 10 pounds to lend me an electrical adaptator. Another one did not want me to sign the bill and insisted on an immediate payment as "no account was open under my room n°", though I was a guest at the hotel.
- tube station far away (10 - 15 mn walk). Well, that can be considered as excellent for your health ...
- one lift out of order for more than 24 hours on saturday and sunday. Welle guess what, it took at least 10 mn to go down and up for breakfast. I assumed they would have a 24-hour service contract to maintain the lift
- no free wifi ... and indecent paying options (15 pounds a day !)
All together the place could be given a better mark if some of the minus below were quickly reviewed. this hotel rates below the expectation of a regualr guest of Novotel.

Thank you your detailed review following your recent stay with us. I was glad to see you stayed with us before and decided to return again. Your feedback about the restaurant has been shared with our Food and Beverage Manager who will address these issues with the team. With regards to the adaptor I can inform you that the £10 is a deposit only and will be returned at the end of your stay. The nearest tube station to the hotel is indeed Lambeth North however bus connections to many areas in London are available next to the hotel.
