This hotel is lovely inside. The room was big and the bathroom was modern. It is just the surrounding area that is not so nice. If you can see past this then this is great value for money and very central (10 mins walk) to the bank of England.

Worth a try if you are on a budget.

Pro: Nice room, good breakfast, close to the Tube, friendly stuff, clear.
Con: Not very safe area at night, paid WiFi.

Please don't take notice of the previous two reviews they seem to have some gripe which is nothing to do with the hotel. We stayed over the weekend and OK the area is not great but the hotel is just round the corner from the tube and is fantastic value, very clean, pleasant staff and a great breakfast. Only comment I would make is that the lighting in the rooms is not too good. We booked a double room and were given a room with three single beds plus another adjoining room with a double bed, ensuite bathroom and a small kitchen area. I would definately stay here again when in London.

View was horrible... overlooking an ugly private courtyard with what seemed drug abusers inside it!!... at one point I even saw someone burning tyres! (no exaggeration!!) Felt unsafe to walk around the area.. especially when it turned dark! In addition the staff in the Hotel never seem to give you the time of day! In fact I would say that they where rather rude!! There is always a reason why something is this "cheap"... usually because it's not very good!
