We booked a room here during a quick stop in London.
We didn't eat breakfast here and left the hotel room at seven in the morning before returning, after a long sightseeing day, at 11 at night, so your probably thinking with so little time in the room surely it couldn't have been that bad?
Wrong.
The room is very basic. A cheap bed, mattress fittings etc. In fact, for the cost of our 2 night stay you could easily have bought all the furniture in the room from IKEA and have change left over.
The ensuite is similar to one you would find in an aeroplane but with a shower. Very, very cheap fittings etc.The plastic "walls" move if you lean on them.
However the cheap bed and fixtures I could cope with- not getting a good nights sleep I couldn't.
I think I was woken up about 5 times in the night with people banging their room doors.
We didn't eat here, we didn't drive so they was no parking hassles, they have no facilities to manage, and we only spoke to the staff when checking in and checking out-therefore the only thing...the ONLY thing that Comfort Inn had to "do" was to ensure we could get a good nights sleep. They failed.
You leave Comfort Inn knowing that it is poorly run by bad management. You just get that feel from the place.
I have worked in management and there are some places that are so poorly run that it grates on you. Even though I was on a break I wanted to put a suit on, climb behind the check in desk and show them how to do it right. I'd have made a better job without question.
Another way Comfort Inn could improve is when guests check out they should be asked by staff,
"Did you enjoy your stay?"
That way, when 95% of customers say "no", they can get feedback and improve.
Simply by taking my key and saying "Thanks" isn't going to improve this mess of a hotel.
In conclusion, don't go to Comfort Inn. They're terrible. You'll regret it. Go somewhere else.
Room Tip: Turn around and go to another hotel.
