Friendly staff but more 1970s hostel than hotel. Wouldn't go again.

Stayed in this hotel during the week. Staff at Reception were helpful on checking in and the room was easy to find. The room itself was basic and looked dated, however it was warm and clean with crisp sheets and a firm but comfortable mattress.
The breakfast was good with the usual choice of items from a buffet which was not as hot as it could be but it tasted good.
At the end of the day you get what you pay for and I was happy with what I got for the price!

Stayed in this hotel for the weekend. Very convenient to tube station and shops.
Room is a bit dated. Needs updating. Bed is too hard and didn't particularly have a very good night.

Stayed there for 4 nights. It was just like I expected: good value for its price.
Starting with the pros, its location is great for the British Museum. 7 minutes walk! Add another 8-10 minutes and you're in the heart of Soho!!! Just steps (literally) from the Russell Square underground station (Picadilly line). Rooms were clean, though a bit dull and sometimes noisy. In my twin room, the toilet was separate from the bathroom and it was very convenient!!! Free Wi-Fi (terrible speed though) near the reception and, if you're lucky enough (I was...), it's accesible from your room too (mine was at the 2nd floor). Not to forget, the staff was very polite and helpful too.
On the other hand, the breakfast was simply inadequate... And I don't think the upgrade to the English breakfast was worth it!!! There was no shampoo or shower gel in the bathroom so get your own. Fortunately there was a hairdrier.
To sum up, I knew what to expect when booking at this hotel, so I was quite pleased with what I faced. A good, clean, cheap hotel in a very convenient location!!!
