“We'll come back!”

My friend and I, two swedish students/tourists travelling with a tight budget, booked this hotel based on the positive reviews on Tripadvisor, and it was just as good as the reviews said! The rooms are a bit dated, but cleaned to almost perfection, and they cleaned our room every single day, something I didn't expect for such a low priced hotel. I have worked with cleaning on a four-star hotel so I have a high standard, and the cleaning is important to me (note: We had a bathroom in our room, which was cleaned every day).
I thought that the beds were okay and overall the room was okay equipped. But even if your room has a blow-dryer, bring a spare! The blow-dryer didn't work in our room but I thought that was alright considering the price for the room.
Some people have complained about paper-thin walls in their reviews but a pair of earplugs fixes that problem, and I had a good nights sleep every day even though we lived on the bottom floor next to the road.
The breakfast was like eating a brunch every day, with a very friendly staff serving. The staff running the hotel was also friendly. My friend and I was happy to see that there was a computer you could borrow for free, this helped us planning our days. And also just the location is great, a reason on it's own big enough to come back, which I definately will.

“Great Value”

This is a great value hotel, the rooms are very simple and dated but the hotel is in a great location with easy access to so many train/bus routes. For the amount you pay in the location it is great value and the people that run it are very friendly, they always made sure we were alright and knew where we were going. When we were in london it was a hot so the rooms could have used air con but that was the only downside.

“Very fine, we'll come back there”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

The hotel is finely located: less than 15 minutes from King Cross station, 5 minutes from British museum, a bit more from Oxford street and the main commercial streets.
The room was simple but very large with a view on the garden.
English breakfast was very nice and complete.
There's free wifi in all rooms and coffee or tea available the whole day in the lounge.
Holder of the hotel is very friendly, giving us all required information.
Last but not least: the price is relatively low for London.
In short: don't look for another hotel if you find a room here.

“Terrific value; try to get renovated room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

I stayed here by myself in one of the single rooms with a shared bath in early January. I was very impressed! You can tell right away that it is a family run business and that all employees of the hotel take great pride in their work. Very nice people; very clean rooms -- and a terrific breakfast, just like a restaurant!! Really, I looked hard to find the best deals in London, and I think this is probably the best deal that you'll be able to find -- especially in such a great location; you are very central and can walk all over the West End.

I actually stayed here twice. The first time, I was given a room downstairs. That room wasn't quite renovated and the shower wasn't the greatest. The second time, I was given a room on the very top floor. The room was much more renovated and the bathroom was much better. I'd recommend to try to get a room on the top floor if possible. In both cases, the beds seemed a tad old and used, but nothing major and certainly for the price I'm not complaining.

Again, great hotel -- would definitely stay here again in London, especially if I'm on a budget!

“Very well run indeed”

Great little hotel in the heart of Blooms bury. It is not fancy and is dated but therein lies its charm. The service is very good indeed from the attentive breakfast ladies to the reception staff. The rooms are clean, warm and reasonably sized..the prices are very reasonable. Thoroughly recommend .
