By far the best room quality for this type of price (£39 per night). New toilet in excellent conditions. Comfortable bed. Perfect for a few cheap nights in London.

didnt book....arrived 10:00pm @ the Euro Hotel:..single room was £47:00..nice bloke behind the desk gave it to me for £40:00 !! Transferred over the road to the Balkan Hotel. Room itself(number 10) very insecure yale lock...bedsheets clean...audible traffic noise..and from other residents..tv (5 channels)...decor in need of updating. Short walk to the communal bathroom....mould and water dripping from the walls and ceiling..put it this way I would not fancy taking a shower!. I did not try the breakfast. It is fair to say this is a no frills..cheap place to stay in a good location for what Shepherds Bush has to offer...the Empire...new Westfield Shopping Centre..the Green and restaurants..plus Tubes Stations for easy access into Central London....all in all OK to get your head down for one night...hope this review helps....and enjoy your stay @ either the Euro or Balkan....best wishes...John :))

Very friendly welcome. Location great. Room absolutely fine, just can't understand, why they leave fungus growing on the bathroom wall, otherwise reasonably clean. Breakfast was sufficient, even though staff had difficulty in keeping up with demand.

My wife and I were looking for a good value hotel that was clean and in a good location. We thought we were booked at the Hotel Euro, across the street. When we checked in we were sent to the Hotel Balkan. Not a big deal, same location, same good desk staff. When we made it up to our room, it was filthy, especially the bathroom. Mold on the shower and walls, exposed rusty pipes, clogged shower drain that spilled water out onto the bathroom floor, cobwebs in every corner. The one lightbulb for the entire room didn't help its appearance. Even though we had booked three nights, we checked out after one night and found a different hotel. The gentleman at the desk of the Euro Hotel was very kind and was surprised when I described the room conditions. He offered us a refund for the unused portion of our booking which I thought was generous. All we ask for is a clean room that is priced right and in a good location. Unfortunately the Hotel Balkan struck out on two of the three.
