The best attribute of these serviced flats; location. Some of the less desirable attributes are the following.
I stayed in an apartment on the 5th floor (the top floor). It was clean, but the TV continually pixelated, so it was basically useless. The Internet connection was unbelievably slow, so I could not download content on the Internet to watch since the TV was not working properly.
As other reviewers have mentioned, due to the location of these apartments, they tend to be a little noisy. Not from the residents, but due to their close proximity to Oxford street and the road noise from there.
The lift is VERY SMALL. Not really an issue for me, but I watched as a family arrived, just in from a long international flight, and had to carry their child up the stairs, as the buggy and a person would not fit in the lift.
The small kitchen was in working order and the washer and dryer worked very well. The bed was somewhat comfortable and there was a small area to hang clothes and drawers for other clothes in the bedroom.
Overall, this apartment is OK. As I said, it is clean, and in a safe location in London. It is right across the street from Selfridges, and it is about a 5 minute walk or less to the Bond Street Tube station. I could also walk to Oxford street (on a Saturday) in about 10 minutes. Also, there is a Starbucks right down stairs. A Sainsburys is supposed to be nearby (never found it) and a Waitrose is about a 7 minute walk up James Street.
