“Don't sleep her if your a light sleeper - the train is noisy”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 May 2012

Nice apartment and practical location in the City of London if you're here for business. However, during the week-end this part of town is really "dead" - I didn't finding a pub open after 8pm, and had to take the tube to Liverpool Street. Furtermore; the "micro location" of this place is bad. Very near the tube, so the reception is shaking every time a train passes (about every 5-10 min). This was easy to hear in the apartment as well (mine was at 1st floor). Also, only a few meters away my windows was the windows of the neighboring building - an office building. I guess those office workers have some interesting views from time to time. The price (about GBP 120 for a night) was reasonable considering the size of the apartment. Stange chemical smell in the halls.

Room Tip: The higher up is better

“London Business Trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 May 2012

Booked these apartments for 3 nights commencing Wednesday 9th May 2012,

Pros: Location is great right in the heart of the banking area plenty of restaurants, pubs and bars. The apartments were very good I booked a single bedroom apartment plenty of space and nice comfortable bed, own key so you can come and go when you please.

Cons: what they don't tell you is that the apartments are built on top of the Mansion House tube station, I had read a review saying this but dismissed it, however whilst checking in I asked what that noise like thunder was the receptionist said it was the tube but you don't hear it when you work here. Well I must say I did not get used to it as it happened every 3-5 minutes throughout the day until midnight, the building actually shakes and vibrates whilst the train is pulling into the staion. it then starts again at 5.30am and goes on again all day, its a shame as the apartments are very good but the noise is off putting.

Room Tip: We were on the 2nd floor it may not be as noisy if you are at the top floor

“5* staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 May 2012

The positives; location is perfect, the girls on reception are friendly, helpful and efficient. Room was spacious, clean and well appointed.

The negatives; noise from the underground can be brutal. Check-in and check-out times likewise (especially after a late night!). We arrived at 2:00pm (after an international flight) and were told that we couldn't get into the room until 3:00pm, unless we paid extra...I think that's a bit of a cheek. The reception was being manned by a young man who I didn't see again...maybe if the girls had been there it would have been handled better.

“One of my fav places to stay now!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 May 2012

No real negatives abt this, they do need to take a swipe of your card to hold £200 for security purposes, which can be a pain, but you're made aware of this, and therefore can pre plan. If you have any problems with the heating/water system, there is practically instant response, I was very impressed at there customer service.

Therefore, love the apartments, the service, the area, it's real buzzing area, and the deals you can get are great. Toiletries provided, and tea and coffe and milk, however there is a tesco and m&s on cheapside very short walk, where you can get full supplies for the great kitchen that's there, and then is you wish do all your washing before you return home so you have none to deal with then...

A real home from home for me.... Have stayed several times now, and will continue to do so.

Room Tip: Rooms on the side of the river have balconies, also the higher the better for general street and tub...

“Excellent base for City”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 April 2012

Ultra-clean & looked newly furnished apartment-great location for the City (we were there to watch the London Marathon). We had a 2 year old with us so slightly worried about possible breakages (they take a £200 deposit on credit card) but all was fine. You could tell design of apartment was made not from the person actually living in it as bath/shower screen knocked on sink when pulled back & could easily break the glass if you were not careful. All in all- a very clean, well furnished apartment -tube line below shakes the building a bit- but a pleasurable stay.
