Stayed here as last minute birthday treat. Staff very nice, no problems at all. Decor is lovely, Beatles pictures dotted around but isnt over the top. Our room was 302, spacious enough, nice bathroom, big comfy bed.We had a drink in bar and service was great, there just wasnt enough places to sit. We returned to our room about 10pm after being out all day and initially had no problems falling asleep. That changed from about midnight when we were woken by all the noise from Matthew Street. Obviously, we expected some noise but this went on til about 4am. Before we left we had a closer look at the windows. We were surpised that they were quite old and only single glazed. The hotel really needs to get these windows double or even tripple glazed, as reading through other reviews this is a massive problem. Yes, if you stay at a city centre hotel next to the Cavern on a Saturday night, you expect a bit of noise. But I would have also expected the hotel to do everthing it can to limit this for its customers that have paid a lot of money to sleep there. All in all, I would definately stay again, but I would request a quiet room.

Wonderful staff very helpful and pleasant in every way. Very clean and tidy room wonderful location. My only complaint was that the sink in the bathroom had a problem, the plug could only be operated manually (the leaver to lift the plug to let the water drain was broken) and really for the status of the hotel these little problems should always be immediately noticed and rectified. For such a small issue the whole hotels performance cannot be judged. which i why i am so secure i will be back.

Stayed overnight in this hotel. Stylish decor and friendly receptionists. However, the room had electric points nowhere near the mirrors so it was difficult to dry hair properly, the noise from drunken girls outside in the early hours of the morning woke us up and the cocktails served in the bar were disgusting. However, we would have overlooked these had I not left a nightdress behind by mistake. I contacted the hotel the same day (Saturday) but had to leave a message. No-one had got back to me by Tuesday despite two more calls. I rang again and had a difficult conversation where the member of staff didn't seem to think it unreasonable for my calls not to be dealt with because of 'shift rotation'. Eventually she asked people to check -not surprisingly it was not found as three/four days had elapsed. A letter of complaint to the Manager took a week for a response! It certainly was a Hard Day's Night!

As part of a 3 nights work conference we stayed at the Hard Days Night Hotel in Liverpool from Tuesday 10th January – Friday 13th January. The hotel is really impressive – from the outside and on stepping in.

On arrival we pulled up on the double yellow lines outside (we had a lot of luggage!) and from here the porter took all of our luggage and work equipment up into the hotel for us which was very kind. We checked in and then left our luggage with the hotel as we had to be elsewhere very soon. Check in was very fast and efficient and the staff perfectly friendly. On arriving back at the hotel later that evening we happily found that all of our luggage had made it’s way to the correct rooms! I know it’s a pretty basic requirement but it’s the small things that make all the difference!

We never actually ate in the hotel apart from breakfast but the breakfast was very nice – the usual hot and cold buffet and continental selections too.

I had no issues with any of the staff – they were extremely helpful all the time. In 3 nights I managed to misplace 2 room keys which were promptly replaced with no questions or (more importantly!) a charge! I also left a necklace, umbrella and phone charger after checking out which were all handed in. I was really impressed with this as I was sure they were gone for good (the necklace had sentimental values). I know a few of my colleagues had a couple of issues with the staff - one of which being when probably around 40 of us came back to the hotel we were told we could not order from the bar any longer, we could only go to our rooms and use room service. This wasn’t brilliant service considering we had probably almost booked the whole hotel out! They were also very slow on bringing drinks at breakfast. However, none of this particularly affected me so I wasn’t too bothered.

The décor of the hotel is very cool. Obviously as you would expect – Beatles memorabilia everywhere, although not in a tacky over the top way and it is very modern and clean. The rooms are a good size for a city centre hotel and the bathrooms were lovely and modern.

My only other slight negative (and it can't really be attributed to the hotel) was that the road is very very noisy. I had very broken sleep for the whole stay.

All in all, a very good 3 days in this hotel and I am just sorry I did not get to spend a bit more time here
