Had relative in local hospital, so this was more of a "convenience" booking. Reasonably priced, spacious room, bed was surprisingly comfortable and pretty quiet considering its main road location. On the down side, I booked the "breakfast bag" for quickness, for 8 a.m. At 8.30 a.m. I had to go down to the reception in my nightwear to ask for it, as it had been forgotten. (I thought if I got in the shower there would be a knock on the door as soon as!) Also, when I returned to the room and switched on the lights the whole lot blew and I was left in darkness, although the bathroom light was working. As it was very early January it was quite dark, but i didn't want to go down again so managed. I told the staff on leaving, but no-one seemed that bothered about the breakfast or the lights. OK as a short stopover, but don't except good customer service. Oh and the breakfast bag is harldly inspiring - although in date the muffin and the croissant were very hard and tasted stale.

A 3 night stay - Fri to Sun. A bit expensive for the first two nights but it is clean and comfortable so can't complain !!!

Only stayed for the 1 night whilst in town for a football match. The room was large but very sparse it looked almost out of proportion, it could do with a sofa in there to sit on. But for 1 night it was adequete.

Had a two night stay here and were very impressed with the spacious, clean and modern family room. Considering it is set back from a main road, and we had a room on the front, it was surprisingly quiet. Staff at the next door Toby Carvery next door are friendly and helpful and the cooked breakfast great value for money. Would definitely stay here again. If you want a good value pub meal, try the Jolly Miller up the road. If you enjoy a Chinese, the New Orchid Garden in Eaton Road is absolutely fabulous (probs need to book at a weekend though)
